Redskins sign Cowboys' DE Stephen Bowen. Haha. Cullen Jenkins agent pushed the envelope too far. A deal was done via handshake with Cullens' Agent but then his Agent played the "they are offering me this... so you have to up your offer game" Maybe redskin's are trying to shed the overpaying nametag.
When I say better I mean in that top 5, top 10 group. Top 15-20 yeah but not top 10, at least in my opinion.
Just for laughs.... Lay lady lay! <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XFzp3uHua40" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
We'll see..... Grossman had the offense down last year. Shan' thinks Beck has it down ever better. Chris Cooley should be traded right NOW IMO. his value is at its highest, besides Fred Davis played better then Cooley last year, Cooley dropped atleast 7 more passes then Davis'. However TE's arent valued as high as other positions.
via twitter, says look for Redskins to make 8-10 more moves... which means cuts Im sure, but cuts = more cap room. Also, I'm hearing Houston has emerged as front runners for Asomamugah
@Jsteelzout2dome Jsteelz 4 pm teams are gonna start jumping that Cut List becomes real, and u can move on them
caplannfl Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd round pick to the Eagles. caplannfl Deal is done. Kolb will sign a five-year extension for over $63 million with over $20 mill guaranteed.
Good luck to you if you think either of those guys will work. Maybe if they end up with an all-time great defense it will. Otherwise, they might have some success...who knows, maybe even a playoff birth (but not likely in that division), but nobody is doing any real contending with Beck or Grossman. The Dolphins had respectable squads with Beck and their carousel of QBs, and they sat in mediocrity ... and there's a reason the Bears let go of Grossman despite going to a Super Bowl with him.
The Eagles actually play the Cardinals this year too. I still belice Kolb is overrated but maybe he'll prove me wrong.
I sort of disagree, it depends on which free agents you sign. The 49ers, Cowboys, Raiders, and Packers used to do it and it worked. Though to your point, those teams still drafted well, which comes from good management. Signing players on name value or after one great season is what kills the Redskins. Not really evaluating does this player fit into what we are trying to or does our team have the personnel to win.
Cullen Jenkins to the Skins not happening. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/28/jenkins-to-redskins-deal-dead/
If the Cardinals throw it 40 times a game like they did with Warner, he'll do fine. Kolb is a rhythm and timing guy, and that's what kind of team the Cards are. Larry Fitz can make a decent QB look great, plus the NFC West is dog vomit when it comes to pass defense. I expect big things.
