You're right. KW isn't cutting it as a #2, the average talent level of that role has really shot up across the league. Same goes for the slot guy. Other teams either have a surehands guy or a big play guy like Bess/Harvin, we have Jacoby.

Glad to know I'm not alone -- Stratford High School class of '07... played basketball with Andy for 2 years (he started at PF for 3 years).

...he's literally a God amongst the SHS community. He won Homecoming King as a junior, was valedictorian of his class, and is probably the most humble individual I've ever known, no joke. He was hesitant on the hardwood... never shot the ball (even though everyone encouraged him to), but he was a monster on the glass and a superb defender (he absolutely shut down Aldine PF and UT hooper Gary Johnson).

First 4 rounds actually. And the picks they obtained are going to be in great positions.
    1st from Oakland for Seymour
    2nd from Carolina for a 2010 pick
    3rd from Minnesota for Moss
4th from Denver for for Maroney

    My early mock:

1st round 8th pick: Prince Amukamara (CB Nebraska)
A 5-11 season should net the 8th overall pick and Prince in Houston. Hopefully a new coach (Cowher) can make the best of Prince and Kareem at CB.

2nd round 40th pick: Justin Houston (OLB Georgia)
Houston is having a terrific year with 19.5 TFL and 11 sacks as a junior this season. The Texans really need that final piece at linebacker alongside DeMeco and Cushing. Zac Diles won't cut it anymore considering we need a better pass rush on the QB.

3rd round 71st pick: Blake Gideon (FS Texas)
Our secondary is terrible and we need an upgrade over Eugene Wilson who has just been horrible in defending the deep ball this year. Gideon is projected 2nd to 3rd by many scouts.

Blake Gideon -- why would he forgo his senior season at Texas? He's not exactly an elite prospect at the safety position.

Hahah Gideon...I will always remember him, after I watched in person, him dropping the game clinching interception a few years back up here in Lubbock which lead to that amazing Harrell to Crabtree game winner

Please tell me you're joking. Gideon is not coming out this year and even if he was, I wouldn't even consider looking at him until at least the 5th or 6th round.

and the texans need a DT way more than an OLB.

Rd 1 and 2 should be best CB/DT in either order.

DT, OLB or S in round 1.

Dareus or Von Miller would be nice.

Actually WalterFootball.com does a pretty good mock and they have Blake going in the 3rd round to Jacksonville with the 86th pick. Anyway this was just a early pick depending on whether or not he declares. We can always go with another pick here but I think the Free Safety position has to be addressed in this draft. Personally, I would go with Rahim Moore out of UCLA but he is going to be a late 1st to early 2nd round and we are not positioned to pick him. Plus, I would rather spend the 2nd round pick on another a stellar OLB.

Which just proves what a great NFL head coach/gm can accomplish.

Are you paying attention Uncle Bob?

the texans shouldn't pick anyone because the people they pick could be worse than the people they already have.
