I really like Jordan Hamilton out of Texas. he could be the guy in the late lotto that ends up an all star. Corey Joseph is going to be a stud as well, but he wont come out this year.

The Superstar/Star players in this draft are:

    1. Irving
    2. Sullinger
    3. Derrick Williams
    4. Jimmer Fredette
    5. Jan Vesely

Perry Jones will be another player, Charlie Villanueva. Barnes will be nice but just borderline star status at best. Neither serves a need we have.

We need to get one of the five players I listed, with emphasis on Irving, Williams, and Vesely.

No his extremely overrated, just like Evan Turner was last year, and I vastly disagree on Perry Jones, at worst Perry Jones will be another Lamar Odom. But at best case scenario, he could be the face of the franchise moving forward.

These are the guys that I think have first tier star talent:

    PG: Kyrie Irving
    SF/PF: Perry Jones
    PF: Jared Sullinger
    SF: Terrence Jones
    PF/C: Donatas Motiejunas
    C: Jonas Valanciunas

    ------------------------

These imo have border line All-star talent to second tier star talent

    PG: Kemba Walker
    SG/SF: Harrison Barnes
    PF: John Henson
    SF: Jan Vesely
    C: Enes Kanter

Gonna have to agree with you. Jimmer Ferdette just looks like another Adam Morrison in the making - tears it up in College, but doesn't translate in the league with MEN.

I like Perry Jones' upside. The guy's a tall lengthy player and can turn into possibly a Kevin Durant type player. A 6'11 Small Fwd gives this team immediate size.

This is EXACTLY what I see them doing. The draft isn't necessarly weak but it doesn't have the star power most drafts tend to have. Depending on the teams in the top 5, we might be able to sneak into the top part of the draft by trading the extra picks and a player.

No offense but hopefully not us......we have enough of those players already. We need a few board eaters!!!

While every case is different, the Same thing was said about a guard from Duke that now plays for Orlando. He struggled for a year or two to get on the court, but, he could always shoot. I think he may be on the court every once in a while now!!

Um WTH?? Steve Francis trade from way back gives us a pick this year?

"Houston Rockets: Has right to swap 2011 second-round picks with the Los Angeles Clippers via the Steve Novak trade on 8/6/08. Receives conditional second-round pick from the Memphis Grizzlies via the Steve Francis trade on 12/24/08.

Marshon Brooks. this kid is amazing. Best scorer in the country. Dropped 52 on the Irish the other night, and 40+ on G-town the week before. He's 6'5" and actually averages 7 boards a game. Plus he shoots over 50% from the field and play great D. Why this guy is projected as a late 1st rounder, i have no idea:

Okay fair point, but he is still not a "star" talent people are trying to make him out to be. I think he can become a good role player, but not a star.

Kyrie Irving looks like the next Chris Paul to me. I'd love to have him, hope he enter for his stock falls to us. He can score, be a good playmaker and most important he can depend.

I'm not gunna lie, I've only seen a couple of Perry Jones but I've noticed he's long and athletic. He's not averaging staggering numbers. He could ether turn into an Anthony Randoplh or that elite 6'10 plys scorer. I see him rite now more of Anthony Randoplh.

We have two picks(hopefully) I would be very upset if we traded one of our picks for a role player. Rockets are known for drafting the older JR/SR's every year. It would be nice to see Morey draft an underclassmen. But after last years draft, I try not to get my hopes up.

That's the reason I don't hold much hope for this year's draft!

I would add Alec Burks and Kemba Walker to that list. Williams does little for me since I am not a advocate of an undersized power forward. I don't think he will be better than what we already have in Scola.

Kemba Walker could be a great bench scorer. He can play.

I am projecting Derrick Williams as a SF in the NBA. If you haven't watched him, you should take a long gander. He's a young Melo, close to the same size, explosive first step and unstoppable going to the basket, collects fouls and free throws like Melo/Wade/KevinMartin, and has a very nice jumper. He's got great size for a SF.

I'd like to see more of Alec Burks. But not convinced that he is more than just another wing at the next level.

problem is there are a really good guys i believe 4 and maybe 5 if you count one of the internation centers.

The thing is all will be drafted ahead of us...and morey has shown inability to move up regardless of desire.

We will mostly likely draft between the 8th and 12th place. Honestly guards and pfs are all thats there... no difference making SF...and doubt those centers fall...and even if they do they are by no means sure things.

There is no demarcus cousins in this draft...there maybe a rose and beasly but they will be drafted about us...

Id love to move up and get Perry Jones....but dont see it happening.

The Rockets are lottery bound(and also have mid-1st rounder) and discussing the best possible available prospect(s) for the Rockets moving forward, belong's in the GARM imo...

Perry really isn't a small forward. He'll get killed by nba SFs. If he's going to realize his potential, it'll be as a power forward.

I like Perry. I like Jared Sullinger. I still like Kemba and Terrence Jones. Of course I'm a Kyrie fan, just like everyone else. This is the draft to try to move up to grab one of these guys.

I also think this will be a very good draft for potential mid first round talent. There's not a lot of those sure fire, can't miss prospects at the top of the draft, but there are plenty of guys who'll be available in the middle of round one that have the potential to be high impact role players.
