2011 Houston Dynamo regular season thread

^ This is STUPID and doesn't show class. I saw this last week somewhere and thought: "Do we really need to say it?"

I hope they realize Houston doesn't need to do this sort of stuff and do away with it.

 

I hope Dallas has precisely one MLS cup.

Because while I agree with Swoly about why this is stupid, it becomes embarrassingly stupid if the Dynamo don't realize that 2 * 0 = 0.

And do we really want to go down this road with Dallas? You know what's going to come up.

 

Will Bruin, Brad Davis, Corey Ashe, and Dom Kinnear all named to the team of the week

 

Dallas had a plane fly over our game on Friday with an FC Dallas banner. It's pretty obvious that the two front offices are working together to try to create the "rivalry". The worst part is the billboard thing was already done by Seattle/Portland, we can't even be original when it comes to trying to fabricate animosity.

Hopefully it will at least help them sell some tickets.

i think this is hilarious. i know i'd be pissed if i was driving around houston and saw a dallas billboard like that.

 

HUGE mistake by Tally Hall on the first goal, its gonna cost them the game

 

you cant make a mistake like that at the professional level

 

what happened?

 

He misjudged a free kick from about 40-45 yards away. He was way off his line, and the ball just floated into the goal above him. It sucks that we lost the game, but the team has been playing great lately. I'm sure they'll bounce back from this. It just sucks that we couldn't even take a point from a home game.

 

They really need first touch guys that can handle the ball up front, i would like to see a combo of Bruin, & Koke starting. Ching/Dixon/ & Weaver as back up, or changing to three up front. Dixon looked speedy and had handles from what little he played last night.

The Dynamo need to shore up their defending on the edges. They are letting opposing players run up and down the wings unchecked, and it's allowing for offenses to get the ball into spots that our defenders can't handle.
