Great goal, probably 30 or more yards out. Glad coach gave him the start, that's only his second goal of the year I think.
If the Dynamo can hold off Portland and get this win, it would be a huge three points to say the least. It would all but guarantee them a playoff berth and it would vault them into second place in the East.
Don't feel bad for the Portland fans, at least they still have the Trail Blazers this year. Oh wait, nevermind.
Were incredibly lucky to win that game. Cruz should have been gone with a Red before his goal, and the Timbers had so many point blank shots that missed. It was weird the ref let them play so physical with the tackles in the box, but at least Houston took advantage of his leniency.
The physical nature of last night's game was something I noticed as well. He was really letting things go.
The Dynamo have officially clinched a playoff berth. I'm not sure what teams lost to put them in, but the team's Facebook page just announced it. I'm pretty proud of this team. They had a lot going against them all season, but they scrapped their way to a playoff spot in the face of all that adversity.
Read they are 4th in the power rankings this week on the mls website. They have not lost a game since moving Cameron back to defense. Thank God one Houston team is making the playoffs
With every other team having played their last game of the season, the picture is crystal clear at this point. The Dynamo are tied for the 10th spot with New York at 46 points. If they get any kind of result against LA, they will move ahead of them. With a win, they will tie Colorado at 49 points in the eight spot. I'm not sure what the tiebreaker is there. I'm going to assume that NY holds the tiebreaker with the Dynamo because the MLS website has them listed one spot ahead of Houston in their postseason rankings.
They have. At this point it will just be about seeding. They can be ninth (with a win or tie) or tenth (if they lose).

Will the Galaxy be resting starters? Not saying the Dynamo cannot win otherwise, but it would help. Had more success against FC Dallas (1-0-1) than Colorado (0-1-1), so would almost rather them lose or win rather than tie.
Good stuff Kam. I was actually headed on here to correct myself as far as that goes. I hadn't realized at first that a win would give the Dynamo one of the automatic bids as a top-3 finisher in the conference.
Good news/bad news situation with the game today. The good news is that FSH picked up this game, so there is an HD feed. The bad news is no Glenn Davis on the play by play.
