he looked comfortable on the floor, he can shoot i think hes gona be a good smart player in this league
if he just adds 10 pounds to his lower body he would be fine. The problem is his lateral quickness. Also he just sems a bit uncoordinated out there. he is better hands then Mutombo but he has a bit of that awkwardness. Of course it is just one game and it could just be nerves. But right now we really need a defensive minded backup for Yao. I like Chandler and he is still available. What does Charlotte want back? Jeffries Hill plus 3 mil. I know hill is young but we have Patterson and Scola and Hill doesn't look like a 5.
Heck no would I give away Hill for a rental/injury prone Chandler. He's great if you get him for fillers but I wouldn't give up actual assets for him. I doubt Morey would go for it anyway. Otherwise he would have sent Hill to Toronto and the 4-way deal could have gone through.
Your probably right. I just see hill as a project right now. I know he can rebound and he has some offensive skills but Laway ate his lunch down low and who the f is Lawal. I am careful to criticize Hill because I thought he was much worse when we traded for him. I was wrong. He is better offensively than I thought and he definiely can rebound, but overall I see a big kid who is a bit awkward and not a good defender.
Here are the highlights of the game <object width="388" height="394" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="ep"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="movie" value="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=games/suns/2010/07/09/1521000002_hou_phx_recap.nba" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><embed src="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=games/suns/2010/07/09/1521000002_hou_phx_recap.nba" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="388" wmode="transparent" height="394"></embed></object> PS. Can everyone stop overacting on the couple of plays Gani Lawal had against Hill, it was just summer league people. --RB
I need my Rockets fix. Does LeaguePass archive the summer league games? If so, I'm going to go ahead and purchase it for $15.
According to the nba broadband website, all summer league games will be available via archives. This is included in the $14.95 plan.
I'm in Vegas on Wednesday through Saturday. Where can I go to watch? Are any of you all going to be there?
I'm on Houston Comcast. I was flipping around last night and they had the games on channel 602. Don't think I pay for that other than my extra Football channels?
JT leading summer league in scoring after first game at 25ppg. Pretty cool...the Rox have a lot of leaders in there. DD
1 game. Summer League. Nice, but not that cool. Patterson looked great yesterday as did Taylor. Of all the games I've seen so far, the Rockets played a much better team game than any other team. I don't know how much of that was the players vs. the coaching but it was a pleasant sight.
Looked at the Tor-Suns game Ray Lewis with the basketball, our own Dorsey has 10 rebounds in the first half
I was just messing around. I was actually referring to the party scene available to him. I never thought weight was an issue.
Thoughts so far: Chase: hasn't done anything because he has clearly been designated the complimentary role player. He never looks for his own shot and no one has gotten him open looks. But he's doing his job at the very least. Hill: his offense still needs much work. I would much rather see him be designated a clean up player (which he is good at) and to stop posting him up. PP: Shows fantastic fundamentals, very efficient. He wasn't able to get any rhythm last game. Would like to see more offense run through him rather than Hill. JT: Fantastic scorer. Don't knock him for not passing because that's not his job. They want him to score and he is doing it in spades, showing that he can take apart defenses at this level. I cannot wait to see Lowry + JT coming off the bench.
