I have only seen him play in the McDonald's game, but I very much look forward to watchin Avery Bradley play at UT. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Avery-Bradley-5285/
check him out in the pickup games at UK this week... Patterson and Orton are still in CA with that training guru who covers his face... so there isn't anyone to block him inside except Perry Stevenson, but dude is like a waterbug. I'd love to see him and aaron brooks in a footrace.. heck throw in Bledsoe as well! The good news for you is we are going to be on the ESPN family of networks A LOT. so you can watch Wall to your hearts content. It's a good year to be a UK fan. Edit: Wall is the one in the grey sleeveless shirt... Bledsoe has the white underarmor thing on (they are on the same team)... Cousins is wearing the headband and joe crawford (Knicks) is wearing a wrist band.
I'm with you, but John Wall is a couple of years younger than Rose. Not a fair comparison just yet. Let's see how he stacks up against Div I competition first. Watching him against high schoolers was a joke.
Cole Aldrich? He's a pre-season 1st team All-America. He was All-Big 12 last year. He put up a triple-double in the NCAA tournament. He absolutely dominated Hanbrogh in the 2008 semi-final game. He's one of the most recognizable faces of college basketball this coming season for the consensus #1 team in the nation. Not only does he go to college, but he dominates. Maybe you were talking about someone else.
How cool would it be if the rockets can get their hands on the rights of Rubio from Minn., and then get the first pick and draft John Wall and play him at the 2 guard..... 09-10 Starting Line Up...Best back court ever........ Ricky Rubio 20 yr old John Wall (more of a combo guard) 20 yr old Ariza 25 yr old Scola 30 yr old Yao Ming 30 yr old PS. Perry Jones (predicted to be the next Mcgrady) is predicted to be the first pick in the 2011 draft.
On what planet is John more of a combo guard? He can't shoot jumpers all that well... he's a PG. I could be wrong, but time will tell... by about December I may have changed my mind from seeing him and Bledsoe playing together.
Nice, we have a Clutchfan covering the Midwestern (Can tuck ee) prospects it seems... I look forward to your reports
It will be a lot more fun to cover the UK kids now that we have a top notch recruiting coach I will be able to give you Wall, Patterson, & Cousins updates through the season. I really think Patrick is going to be a first round late lotto steal next year
I think that this line up can succeed in the nba because both are young and talented so as time passes they will have a more consistent jumpshot.
I think you may be right, but as of right now John is not a jumpshooter. He will likely get better and have to work on it if he wants to get to his next level of development.
I have some bad news for you, NBADraft.net comparisions are not accurate. Allow me to share a few which I remember very well: Nene- Hakeem DeShawn Steveson- Michael Jordan DerMarr Johnson- Scottie Pippen Adam Morrison- Larry Bird Josh Childress- Iceman George Gervin the list goes on and on, they removed all the old ones from their site but I will never forget them.
THE ROCKETS WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!! Never underestimate the heart of a champion...for the past few years, we have never, and i mean, never! had a complete team. Yao got hurt or TMAC got hurt, we have always pulled through because thats just the kind of team that we are. Now, with that said, i dont think that we need a PG, brooks will definitely be and is the PG of the future and with him and lowry, i think we have a good combo. I think we're set on the PF position for now and also the SF, so what we really need is a solid SG who can create his own shot. Oh, and also, maybe a decent big man, but hopefully the aussie andersen will be able to help us out for now.
