Seriously. And no offense to the girl from Precious, but I think Bullock will look better at 65. I actually felt bad watching the Oscars when they all talked about her bright future. I thought to myself, "Yeah right. A morbidly obese, dark skinned, unattractive black woman has a "bright future" in Hollywood?" Child please. This may not be the 60's, but it still isn't a place where this girl is going to thrive.
Mo'nique definitely deserved the oscar. Her character was so spot on. The poster child for all republicans.
This is exactly why I thought this movie was racist garbage. The whole movie was a bunch of black stereotypes dressed up as art and peddled to white liberal guilt.
Why is it every time there is a heartfelt portrayal of another race it is viewed as "stereotypical garbage". As long as people aren't white their flaws shouldn't be examined? Who is the racist now.
Last question about the Mo Nique deal, is it campaigning or schmoozing. meaning did she just not participate in events they want nominees to participate in?
Or, reading the article posted in this thread, she simply didn't have the time to play the game (due to filming of her television show).
haven't read the article but I that's just the general idea I got, to be honest I don't care all that much.
has anyone said what the deal that Sean Penn was talking about how he and the Academy weren't seeing eye to eye or something? What was that all about?
Another example of Sean Penn's extreme arrogance. He might be a crusader for human rights, but he's still a colossal d-bag.
