    G. Wallace is a rebounding machine.

I don't think that would be enough to get Wallace. Maybe an Ariza/Budinger/Hill package? Even then, Crash is their best player so probably not.

Otis does not seem like he wants to part with Gortat unless he gets them a prime time player. So no to him either.

Wolves are looking to dump Sessions for basically nothing. We don't need Sessions but we could use Chandler, whom was just traded to Toronto. Now, I don't know how Toronto feels about Chandler and if he's in their long term plans. This trade idea is contingent on that they are willing to trade him for the right price.

    Okay, here it goes.

Trade Andersen and Alexander Johnson a 3 million cash (so they can buy out Andersen's contract) for Sessions.

Then, trade Sessions along with Jeffries, Luennen, and a future draft pick for Chandler.

Toronto would be trading a serviceable 7'1 foot defensive player for a 6'11 defensive player with an expiring contract along with a decent NBA ready bench player and a draft pick. Also, Calderon would be expendable.

Wolves would be dumping Sessions contract like they want allowing them to chase Ridnour.

    Thoughts?

Well Calderon already appears to be expendable since he is apparently in the process of being moved as we speak.

Furthermore, why would Toronto trade for a guy and then immediatley move him?

Your suggestion makes sense for us, but not so much for Toronto in my opinion.

Again, it just depends on how much they really wanted Chandler. If their hearts weren't set on him then why not trade him out for something a couple inches shorter (literally) and get a couple assets while you're at it. They'll need all the draft picks they can get.

Also, players getting moved immediately after being traded happens fairly often.

If that trade is available for Morey to take, he will take it.

Simply because it adds a backup seven footer on an expiring contract and gives us more expiring contracts to move for Paul, Okafor, and Posey at the trade deadline.

If that trade is available for Morey to take, he will take it.

    Salary dump?

Toronto's latest "mega-trade" accomplishes their objective of getting out from under the ugly, long-term deals of Hedo Turkoglu and Jose Calderon and the overpriced expiring contract of Reggie Evans, in exchange for the somewhat-less-ugly, somewhat-less-long-term deals of Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa and the overpriced expiring contract of Tyson Chandler.

Perhaps now that Toronto doesn't have any albatross contracts beyond 2011-12, they now turn their attention to dumping salary for this season and saving some money while they rebuild.

The following trade would work, assuming that Toronto's only in it for the money:

Toronto gets: Ramon Sessions, Jared Jeffries, Rockets' 2011 second rounder, cash
    Houston gets: Tyson Chandler
Minnesota gets: David Andersen, Alexander Johnson (non-guaranteed)

Toronto saves ~$4.13M next season and gets a good young PG in Sessions.
Minnesota saves ~$1.46M next season and gets out of Sessions's contract.
Houston gets its backup center without losing any key assets.

Another possibility would have the Rockets take back Marco Bellineli ($2.38M) into their $3M trade exception in lieu of the pick and (some) cash.

    Just a thought.

It could be Toronto really wanted Boris Diaw, but Charlotte wouldn't give him up with out getting back the trade exception, so they use Chandler as a filler.

Barbosa & Diaw beef up their depth at the 2 & 3. Off guard was pretty bare in Toronto.

A source i read claimed Jefferson and Paul might not even be with the same team next season and Jefferson might be dealt within the next 10 days. Also, another source claimed Gortat is available. But for Minny they are wanting draft picks for Jefferson.

What source are you referring to? Please elaborate. Also are you referring to Paul as in CP3?

Yea a post was quoted in realgm Orlando forum along with a front page of Gortat. Mavs are getting closer to land Jefferson is what it claimed.

Espn has an article which basicallly said the Mavs are willing to move Dampier's golden contract but wanted Minny to take Carroll's and Stevenson's crappy deals in return. Minny countered by asking for multiple 1st rd picks and now Utah is involved also.

It's pretty obivous Morey just isn't that interested in Big Al because they probably could get him right now with their assets but rather wait and see what happens around them. If the Wolves want picks then I'd do...

Andersen, Jeffries, Budinger, Johnson and a #1 in 2012

    for

    Big Al

They got tons of salary cap space next offseason and bascially two #1 picks out of it. Saying that, like I said, I just don't think Morey has that much interest in picking up that contract for a nice upgrade but not a huge one.

How deep is the draft next season? Surely, if you dont give up too much you'd take a shot at big Al not tomnay players his calibur currently playing and i think he will play much, much better with Yao or a true center. His problem in Minny is they are playing him out of position at the five spot.
