We need to trade for Danny Granger. Morey needs to make a call to Bird ASAP and ask if he is interested in Brooks or Lowry.

Lets be honest. Even if Melo and CP3 wants to play together, it won't be in Houston. For some reason, when star players want to get together, it would never be in houston. Houston was never a place where FA wants to sign with for some reason.....

Yes he can force NO's hand anytime he wants to like most superstar players. All he has to do is demand a trade. Also, If he has a No-Trade Clause like most superstar players do, he gets to choose which team he goes to.

That is why we should trade for a guy like Danny Granger. I really want him on the Rockets badly. I would give up anyone on our roster not named Scola or Yao for him.

I think the only player in the league with the no trade clause is Kobe. He can demand a trade all he wants and probably will get it but he won't get to choose his team though.

I think as long as we have good contracts that don't have negative value, we can get a SnT deal done for CP3, as long as we have Melo. We can resign Melo for the max, then SnT for CP3 to get a max using our assets.

Scola will still have value 2 years from now, and we add youth and picks in a deal to get CP3.

If CP3 is determined to play with Melo, they'll make it happen. Just like we saw with Miami, they planned superfriends from the start.

Do you remember when Barkley came? He was past his prime, but I would never say never.

Yao despite the health concerns, is still in his prime, and if he comes back strong this season, we have a shot at landing the stars.

For some reason or another, I just don't see Houston as a top choice for any free agent. God knows why not, Houston is such a great city and has everything an athlete could want.

I don't think Bron'Wade'Bosh really cared what city it was in. As long as it was a big market, and as long as that team had the cap space to sign all three. Those guys (Bosh and Bron) were just pimping the NBA. Teams like Chicago never had a shot at them because they could only get two. While Rose is a good player, that wasn't in their plans.

I really don't think Bosh for example was dodging Houston...but we couldn't bring his buddies along so it was never really in consideration.

Also I think NYK really had a shot at the three with their cap space and ability to SNT Lee for Bosh possibly...but they screwed it up when they signed Amar'e. I really just thing these 3 had this planned, once they saw teams like NYK, NJN, and MIA clearing space that was the only teams that had any shot at landing all 3.

I agree...one of these guys teams is bound to fail. Each of their teams are in horrible financial situation...they may bite at the deadline if it is clear they can't make the playoffs.

Also with NOH not really doing anything the past two years and teams like the Thunder and Grizzlies getting better...I even expect the Warriors and Kings to be better than the Hornets...It's very possible the team finds itself at the bottom of the West.

Did LeBrick have one during his 7 seasons with the Cavs also? I dunno.

Anyways, the two teams I want Morey doing business with at or close to the deadline is with Indiana and Nawlins.

Both are willing to hand over the keys to younger and cheaper talent and are under financial distress right now. New Orleans has Collison to replace Paul and Indiana has Paul George to replace Granger.

Granger and CP3 are a couple of my favorite players in the league and I would kill to have one of them on the Rockets. Both are the anti-LeBron.

Well since CP3 doesn't this is moot...but if he did...or someone like Dwight/Durant did...they would pretty much get to choose their team unless that team didn't want the player...which is silly. If the Magic called any team in the NBA and said "Dwight would like to play for you...who will you give us so we can make this happen." I think a deal gets done.

And they can't send him elsewhere because he can say "Nope, not playing there." and end it.

Remember when Kobe started his complaining, he had the right to deny any trade. So they can't just ship him off to Utah or something. It seemed so long ago but I think he wanted to go to Chicago. Of course they ignored him and got Pau so that never happened.

Yeah, but we should be better off trying to get someone like Granger or CP3 who is a definite upgrade at their position rather than someone like Bosh who is not that much of an upgrade over Scola.

Granger would look so good in a Rockets uniform next to Yao.

I agree though, I'd rather get Paul or Granger over Bosh.

Paul is a definite upgrade at PG and Granger at SF.

I think Granger would fit perfect on this team right now...he's underrated, doesn't care that he's not playing for NYC or LA like those others clowns, Hustle Hustle Hustle, and plays good defense.

When the Pacers realize he's not meant to be someone you build around they will trade him.

Then the Rockets can just say "The Big 5!" for their marketing and show up all these other teams trying to make power trios :p

I think it was kind of strange when they drafted Paul George who plays the exact same position as Granger.

Aquiring Granger is definitely a Morey type of move. I just hope it happens!
