The truth is that Von was injured, and asked to be released so he could come home and catch on with an NBA team after he got healthy. I am not sure he ever did, his back was pretty messed up.

As for Kleiza, we need a big, not another wing.

I don't believe we need to go out of our way to sign a player where we are long anyway and who has a 9.9/4.1 career average.

i suggested trading/signing this guy, but back before we had ariza and budinger.....although he's still a nice talent, despite what others may say, he can shoot the three, take it to the rim, is aggressive, etc...but now we just dont have the space and don't really need him.

His back was something I mentioned several times back when you were hoping we'd give him a contract. I could never understand why you were so interested in a guy with back issues, considering our history, DD. Not that you were alone!

How bout...NO! Dude is not coming to play for the Rockets or any other NBA team. Euro is still worth more than the dollar at the moment and he is making 6 mill next year.

    Brooks + 2nd rounder for #10 and 2011 protected 1st?

    Hear me out.

Pacers need a PG, and are willing to trade their #10 pick to land a PG.

Hornets said that Paul is available, just at a high price.

With gaining the #10 and 2011 1st this give us the #10, #14, two 1st rounders next year, and 2 in 2012.

#10, #14, NY 2011 1st, Battier, Jeffries and Budinger for Paul.

Yes that is a lot for Paul, but that's what it would take. Plus this saves us several million from signing two 1st round picks.

    Doing this gives us

    Chris Paul / Lowry
    Martin / Taylor
    Ariza / FA
    Scola / Hill
    Yao / Hayes

Why would Bosh not want to make Houston his top destination with a roster like this?

Scola (resigned to long term deal) , Indiana's 2011 1st, rights to Llull, Lowry for Bosh.

    CP /
    Martin / Taylor
    Ariza /
    Bosh / Hill
    Yao / Hayes

This hurts out depth, but with a roster such as this, we would have plenty of ring chasers wanting to jump aboard.

Bash me all you want, it's a huge longshot, but would instantly make the Rockets the favorites for the Championship.

I'll will bash you because just like many posters that want their idea heard out, you didn't take the time to use the trade proposal thread. If everytime a poster wanted to be heard out on something and created a new thread, the grm would be littered with this kind of stuff.

Celtics did a very similar thing just a few years ago. Yes it is crazy and will likely not happen, but you never know with Morey.

    What about Jordan Farmar?

Based on Farmar's comments today, he will not be returning to the Lakers.

Farmar said he wants to lead a team and make a name for himself. His contract is expiring, and I don't think he was given the best opportunity to do big things in L.A because he was playing behind the veteran Derek Fisher. I can definitely tell he would do well under the Rockets because he has the will to win (he wants to lead a team), and isn't a lazy player. Why not trade AB(his stock is high)+Battier+Jeffries for Bosh and sign Farmar as a starting PG with Lowry as a backup. I think Farmar is ready to explode, he just needs a chance. It is a gamble but I think it is one worth taking. Thoughts?

    Andersen just vanishes?

aside from the fact that our roster gets completely gutted for Paul/Bosh I dont think NO would trade Paul to a division rival..

We don't have a 2nd round pick and the 2011 draft will be weak.

I don't think you can include two Sign-and-trade players in the same deal.

So while the Rockets would be able to trade for Bosh and then trade Scola in two separate deals... they wouldn't be able to trade Scola FOR Bosh.

Yes, I have some very detailed thoughts on this proposal. See below.

Also, it seems like it would be a really big risk to have Chris Paul, Yao, and Kevin martin (three guys that have struggled to stay healthy) on the same team.
