Shooting 3's over 50 percent in the Finals is just phenomenal

Budinger is developing into a version of Ray Allen.

Ray is 34, he will be like Eddie Johnson in a year or so, great shooter without the lift.

Don't talk about players that currently have high value such as Allen. To get him is just a wishful thinking. Why didn't you bring this up when Boston was talking about trading him and when his value is dropping?

Never underestimate him, he's in great shape.
I can't see Budinger shooting near 50 percent from 3 in the play offs. Not in the near future. Talking about nuthugging.
I sure hope to eat crows...

The condition ray is in and the way he plays, i can se him playing till he's almost 40 like reggie miller. Your version of him is quite vague. I think buddinger has the type of game, but does he have it in him?

too identical to kevin martin. He is a great player don't get me wrong, but he is also on the wrong side of 30 and we have more glaring needs then someone who can hit the 3. We have 3 guys already who are excellent 3 point shooters in brooks, ariza, and martin.

Morey would take him if he comes cheap...
The thing he is unattainable....right now. even with 34...
I agree with leeb... he seems to go beyond 35... man I watched his movie and the only thing he seems to have lost is his hair. jesus.

This thread would have much more traction if he wasn't a starter for team playing in the finals.

I wasactuslly looking in to this but Boston not going to let him go since he is beasting in finals (game 2)!! They are going to try any thing they can to keep the best shooter in the game!

No, it is not a intriguing possibility. I do not why he wants to come here, and Boston lets him go. They are a better team than the rockets.

Can't see him leaving boston. At this point they still have enough gas for one more run and by thenhe should be ready to retire. Not to mention if he even thinks about leaving Pat Riley already said he'll be pursuing him aggressively, especially if Miami gets bosh/amar'e/boozer and re-signs wade.

It's going to take a while for Budinger to perfect his craft the way Ray Allen has. Make no mistake about it Ray Allen is a SPECIAL player and it is a true art form to move without the ball the way Ray does.
I know you rave about Chase's BBIQ (which makes me laugh) but he's a 2nd year player with ALOT of work ahead to be anywhere in Ray's neighborhood. It's as much about work ethic & mentality as it is about talent.
Ray Allen is about as dedicated is comes my friend.
I like C-Bud and he is athletically equipped but it remains to be seen if he has the work ethic & mental toughness to perfect this art. Is he even looking to become “another Ray Allen”? He could be a "version" but how much of a "knock off" version? Because the real thing is pretty damn special!

If Ray were to take a significant pay-cut, what's stopping him from just re-signing with Boston?

    Idea has a few holes.

for real. I don't know why every team thinks they can sign allen for a pay cut. I think he'll reup with the Celtics. He has a good thing going there.

This probably does'nt mean anything, but there have been a few late lottery picks working out for the Warriors over the past week. Is it because there is still the possibility that a trade will be made between Houston and G. State? Lets hope so.

Like Yao Ming, Ray Allen would have to play controlled efficient minutes. :p
