its like brady saw this season was wide open with no dominant team and he's taking the bull by the horns

This season people are saying that Manning is not doing good and throwing a lot of interceptions, because his best WRs and TEs, are injured.
But when does Brady in his career had great WRs and TEs, the only one is Randy Moss, and look what he did with him the first season.
People were writing off the Pats when they traded Moss, saying that Brady wont get his numbers and stuff.

And I heard some people trading Tom Brady in Fantasy football, just because Moss was gone.

look Deion Branch, with New England he got a Superbowl MVP, and then he went to the Seahawks and failed, then now he returns to New England and is playing great again.

Even Randy Moss, look when he was with the Raiders and was traded to New England, many people thought he was done, but he was amazing with Brady, then this season they trade him, and he sucks again.

Still going with Polamalu. Steelers are lost when that guy doesn't play.

I think Vick should be in the discussion too, but when you look at Philip rivers and they way he is playing and how he get them back in the playoff hunt from losing record, I think He should be in the discussion too.

So it's a toss between Vick and Rivers

My man! Unfortunately, missing 2-3 games is going to erase Troy from the discussion however legitimate his case may be.

Objectively speaking, I don't think it's outrageous to argue that he's the most valuable player in football.

They really ought to rename the MVP the "Offensive Player of the Year" award... just like they have the DPOTY award.

very difficult choice between him and vick for me, honestly. brady's numbers are ridiculous, on a team without a bunch of great skill position players around him.

ironic...they don't have anyone anywhere near the discussion with Andre or Arian at skill position...but they look like the best team in the league, while we're 7 wins at best.

To be fair, a competent team with those 2 as cornerstones would be 10-12 wins easy.

Agree. I think any QB with a stout line can be decent . . even with Jacoby Jones on their team.

    That being said.

The MVP race is too QB Centric.

Only defensive player I recall winning it was Ray Lewis [if he did]
    maybe Dieon Sanders.

Did CJ win it last year? [He should have]

Manning won it last year. Ray Lewis won defensive player of the year not MVP. The last defensive player to win was Lawerence Taylor in the early 80s.

Maybe Cassel should be 'most improved player' if the NFL even has such an award. 27 TD's 5 INT's. pretty solid.

Him or Dwayne Bowe. Chicken or Egg, Cassel or Bowe.

Cassel is throwing it to him, but only a handful of receivers take that 15 yard cross 75 yards for a TD today.

Probably be Brady. Vick has better skill position players next to him, which is kind of a double edged sword. They make him look good, but also hurt when the other guy has no-name wideouts and running back by committee.

    Tom Brady, the end.

The best player on the best team.

    The best current player.

    Brady > Manning, all day

Yup. I'm not a fan of Brady or the Pats in general, but I can't deny what he's done this year, or throughout his time with NE, for that matter.

huh? its a toss between Vick and Rivers to get the MVP or just the 2nd place in the votes?

Rivers is no where near the MVP award this year.
Maybe at the beginning of the season, he was in the discussion, but now, I dont think they will pick him.

Its a race between Brady and Vick, but I still think Brady will win it.

And Vick will win the Offensive Player of the Year.

This is what I am betting on too. Brady has the numbers and success while Vick has the numbers but not the level of success this season.
