I guess you weren't aware Blake and Outlaw are both unrestricted free agents this summer. The Blazers didn't mortgage anything. That was a no-brainer trade for them.
Oh, didn't know they both were free agents. I guess it was a right move, but still I don't see Camby re-signing with the Blazers.
Erroneous on all parts. Mortgage their future? Hardly. Marcus Camby fits in perfectly for the Blazers and he loves the city and already said he fully intends to resign. Blazers will let go of Pryz one way or another. They say he may never be the same anyways. A team as young as the Blazers didn't mortgage anything. Steve Blake was absolute garbage and I couldn't be more happy to have seen him leave. I thank Blake for sucking so bad last year which is what helped us advance. Travis Outlaw was the odd man out in the group of young, talented wings. Outlaw is not very bright and just didn't/doesn't seem to get it.
camby is too old to make a difference long term. the blazers should resign camby but they need a healthy greg oden and a healthy roy to be serious contenders next
Portland is a good team when healthy, but unless they make a roster move for another high impact player I wouldn't consider them in the upper echelon of teams in the NBA. They have Roy/Aldridge which are a great duo but they just lack that third option. If Oden could finally stay healthy and reach his full potential then I think they could be very dangerous.
