lol, it's the freaking NBA, stop whining about a tap on the shoulder, my little sister can hit harder than that

Yes, it was a cheap move, but it's the playoffs, and after seeing what was done to the Suns the last few years, I am not surprised that Amare is doing it too

The point wasn't how hard that hit was. The point was that he actually TRIED to go for that injured shoulder. And the fact that the Suns got effed by the refs a few years ago is not justification for a dirty play.

The thing is, if he was trying to injure the opponent, then it would be disgusting

but that wasn't the case, I believe Amare simply tapped Batum's injured shoulder to affect his free throw, now that's a different story

He wasn't trying to hurt the guy, he just wanted to win

This came after the free throw. It was a cheap move by a desperate player. Dude was whining all night, and Batum has repeatedly mentioned in postgame interviews about how Amare has gone after his injured shoulder again and again in this series.

Stoudemire was already assessed a retroactive flagrant for his attempt at elbowing Aldridge's head in game 3. If he gets two more, he's suspended for a game.

And looking at his reaction to Batum's shove makes his intentions pretty clear. Normally, if someone shoves you with your back to them, you turn around and react accordingly. Stoudemire simply walked away, as if he expected it.

    Classic bait.

It was a cheap move by a competitive player. MJ had some cheap moves too back in the day, but that was because of his competitiveness.

It's the playoffs and every team is trying to gain an edge on their opponent one way or another

You don't come into this league expecting to be treated like a princess

Yes, there will be cheap shots, some obvious some not, but that's what NBA playoffs is about, you play through them and try to get a win

Blazers off to a good start. 23-11 Portland leading after 5:40 in 1st quarter.

I think with even a 70-80% Roy, the Blazers could beat the Suns. They need to win this game because I don't see the Suns being mentally prepared in an elimination game in Rose Garden.

Blazers are lucky to blow out to this lead with Roy on the bench. I wonder if Miller is going to have a monster game.

If they do win this game and the Thunders pull off an upset tomorrow night, we might see our first ever all bottom seeds advance

Juwan Howard is the reason the Blazers are in this position right now with his leadership.

That would be a pipe-dream of mine. Then I hope it would happen again in the 2nd round.

Scratch that. I would want the Blazers to beat the Spurs.

Rudy Fernandez looks like a worthless wimp out there. Nash can take a vacation on defense with him in the game. Rudy plays a lot shorter than his height of 6'6.

And Stoudemire sells it by staggering like he's been hit by Shaq. What a freakin' clown.

If their is a Blazers-Thunder 2nd round series, you bet that the Portland fans are gonna boo and kick themselves on every Durant posession.

Also given the close vicenity of Portland to Seattle, the Seattle fans might make the trip to the Rose Garden and boo the hell outta OKC and their owner for robbing them of their franchise.

Seeing Amare play, Im kinda glad that we didn't trade Scola and Battier for this bum!

Dude is a 7 foot version of T-Mac! Although much dirtier.

As that one poster said, friends don't let friends trade for Amare!

They would meet in the WCFs, not the 2nd round.

There wouldn't be any tickets for Seattle fans because the Rose Garden sold out instantly after the Blazers won game 4. Portland has some of the most rabid fans in the NBA.

The freethrows were a major component of the comeback.

Blazers still have none whiles the Suns have 10
