Just a bad game for the spurs. I feel they would do much better next game.

If the suns win this series, lakers are going to the finals. No way the suns can beat the lakers in a 7 game series. I actually had the mavs being the only team that had a chance with the lakers. But the spurs are damn experienced and plays great team basketball. The suns lacks defensive intensity to stay with the lakers.

You shot me down in another thread as well. I don't see you quoting other people, and trying to 1-up them.

Phoenix rises and falls with Richardson. He's their x-factor, similar to JR Smith (less explosive but more consistent). They almost always win when he scores more than 17 points. You know Nash is going to bring it (even though his defense and turnovers are getting ridiculous) and Amare, despite being a black hole, is going to find ways to score with a big contract coming up.

I think Nash is a man on a mission. He just looked different from the get-go tonight.

yeah, i'm going to pick the suns. i think they are better with a more experienced stat and nash. richardson has been playing well recently as well.

i have a feeling that the spurs are on the decline. the only reason being tim's age. as he gets older, the more weight being on manu and parker. as good as they are, i don't think they can beat some of the other teams in the playoffs.

plus i don't like the spurs.

nash has always put up great numbers, i'd love to see him taking over a series and beating a team as good as the spurs with his play. this series just might be it.

So because I disagreed with you in two different threads, I'm "shooting" you down? I still don't get it.

Do you watch basketball or do you just read recaps?

This is not the same Suns team. This team actually plays defense and traps. Their biggest weakness defensively is the point. Do you really think Derek Fisher is gonna burn them?

Their run and gun style can neutralize the advantage of Bynum and Gasol as well. Especially Bynum.

Glad to see the Suns win game 1 , usually the Suns trip up in the first game vs Spurs . I have a feeling homecourt will factor a lot more in this series more than usual . It will be tough to win in SA for the Suns , so Suns must protect their homecourt as much as they can to win the series.

The Lakers beat the Suns in the regular season 3-1 and typically have performed well against the Suns during the last 3-4 years. The playoffs are obviously a more slower pace than the regular season and thus the Lakers should be able to slow it down to take advantage of the smaller Suns team. Even if Bynum struggles, Odom and Pau are good enough to carry this team against the Suns.

I agree. The Lakers would clearly be the favorites.

Playoffs generally are at a slower pace, but Phoenix is almost an exception. They still play at their frantic pace.

However, I think IF Robin Lopez can return reasonably well, then Phoenix can make a series out of it against the Lakers.

Honestly, I still think the Spurs will squeeze this out if Robin Lopez doesn't come back. Phoenix will need the defensive presence and a 7 footer on offense to get Amar'e going.

I think this series will be decided by the spurs' defense. I feel the spurs' offense is not good enough to outscore the suns because they don't have great 3pt shooters anymore.

Lakers won't let them play R&G. Lakers can stop Thunders from playing fastbreak basketball. It'd be easier against Suns.

It's easier to stop the Suns than the Thunder? Are you serious?

The Suns are number 1 in offensive efficiency and play at a faster pace than the Thunder.

If Fisher couldn't stop Westbrook, what's he gonna do against Nash? He can't hide by guarding Sefolosha, because J-Rich will burn Fisher then. With the run and gun pace, Artest's defense becomes slightly less effective as well.

You seem to single me out. I don't know why. But whatever. I'll just put you in my ignore list, so this won't happen again.
