The thing about the Suns is very tricky. Gentry might be a better coach D'Antoni, he's made alot of adjustments for the team against the Spurs and Trailblazers. In actuality, they are not as undersized as people would have believe, especially if Lopez is able to play. They'd have Lopez, Amar'e, Frye, and Collins going against the Lakers. Amar'e is going to get his points, regardless of who is matchup against him, in most of games (not all though). He's going have to be the guy, no matter what. Though, the Suns can win without him scoring alot of points/ I wouldn't expect much from Nash in this series (especially every game), he had a couple bad games against Fisher. Though, if he has played the way he has against the Spurs, it should keep Phoenix competitive. The Suns bench has been on fire in playoffs (Dudley, Barbosa, and Dragic), if they keep it up, they might keep the Suns in this thing. Their bench is playing way better than Lakers, right now, who are pretty much on life support (outside of Odom). The Suns, biggest X-Factor, will be Jason Richardson and their defense. The Phoenix defense has only been allowing 95.5 points a game. Which is outstanding for them. Richardson is the one who could mean the difference from them being out in 5 or possibly winning the series, he's been outstanding in the playoffs averaging 7.5 more than his seasonal average.
No the Spurs have too much pride to get swept and last game being @ home . I think Spurs take this game tonight .
I'm with you. Dragic time. The Spurs have no answer for him. No team has an answer for him. He's like 2 Rondos rolled into 1 plus a little Oscar and Jordan.
Maybe an electric first few minutes. If the Suns get out to an early lead though, the crowd will be dead in fear of the inevitable.
No...the entire world doesn't have an answer for him. Time to unleased the Dragic. (And perhaps bump up my thread in the process)
The Spurs need the crowd alive, no matter how the game starts; anything to combat the Suns and Dragic*. *Dragic is a entity set apart from the Suns. He is worshipped in many countries you've never heard of.
I just don't think it's going to be one of the most electric Spurs games in recent history. I'd characterize this as a game where the crowd is feeling very little optimism as they wait for their team to take the knockout blow, a.k.a., The Dragic Punch, of which no man (or team) can survive. I think it would have been a far more electric atmosphere had the Spurs won Game 3.
No, see you don't get it. It's more about pride now than winning the series. They don't want the Spurs to get swept. I don't think the Spurs have gotten swept since early in the last decade. It's just about winning this game.
Was that against the Lakers in 2001 when they got swept? And you're right, I believe they will go all out to avoid at least being swept.
Yeah the 01 Lakers. They pretty much swept everyone except for Philly in the finals when they lost one game, the first game. Possibly the best team in the decade.
He is already in the game. He's taken over Parker's body. The Dragic likes competition; the Dragic wants the Spurs to lead, so Dragic can win the game to become the hero.
I predict that he scores 50 in 20 minutes and shoots over 90% from the field. He will also knock the postgame interviewer to the ground with his energy force field after the game.
