Game 4 is obviously more important to the Nuggets. At worst for the Jazz, this series comes back to SLC for game 6. If the Nuggets lose Sunday night, you can probably turn out the lights on that fragile team.

Nugs are done. I'm kind of relieved. I was worried I was going to be in North Dakota for work during game 7. Obviously, that concern is moot now.

BTW, amazed that the Jazz troll (Rockets94-95) hasn't been red repped by now. I'm amazed you guys would let him stand.

We don't control that aspect. That's a moderator duty that has more to do with cussing and spamming and other violations.

BTW, don't give up hope on your team.

They aren't done yet. Game 4 is a tossup in my book. That kind of pressure could bring out the best in Chauncey & Melo while the other guys keep their heads on. Denver's "A" game is better than that of the Jazz and you never know which flaky Nuggets team will show up. All we do know is the Jazz will show up and leave it all on the floor.

If that is true, why did I get neg repped for telling this troll on the "McGrady's Decline" thread who goes by the name "tomjc" to stop posting the trade of yi/lee for scola/battier when that has nothing to do with that thread?

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5261962&postcount=20

That is the reason why I am a rookie now! I'm pissed that a guy like Rockets94-95 can continue to troll and not become a rookie, while my posts are always insightful.

Look up my history and point out my worthless posts!

I don't know why you got neg repped, but if that Rockets9495 guy is just a troller, then he'll get removed sooner or later.

It's comforting hearing someone like you say that. Honestly, since I'm a fan of the Nugs I can't always be 100% objective. I just know that this hasn't been the team all season, and it went even more downhill when George left the team for treatment. Someone on the Nugs board I post on mentioned that we should have seen the cracks when KMart went off on the team over an April 1st prank. Granted, KMart's insane (and I say that with the knowledge that he is probably one of my favorite players in the league), but that was over the top even for him.

I haven't seen the Nugs play with the intensity they had last season in the last 2-3 months once. I don't think this team can turn it on and off either. Last year, the Nugs would play hard, the respective benches would come in and we would take it to a new level. This year? Not so much.

Honestly, I'd be stunned if this one even goes 6. And I hope that you guys don't think that I'm being whiny or anything. I promise, that's not how I'm trying to come off. I just know that I've watched this team all year and they are definitely holding everything together with strings. All they do is b**** about the refs. Someone needs to sit them down and tell them that the screw job they're getting from the refs (whether it's in their heads or reality -- personally, I think Utah's gotten a tiny better whistle, but not even close to enough to make an effect on this series) isn't going to go away and they need to just fight through it. Karl did that. Dantley can't. Unfortunately, no one else is stepping up.

Last year, Chauncey rubbed off on the Nuggets. This year, the Nugs have rubbed off on Chauncey.

I still find it unbelievable that a completely healthy Nuggets team (although Martin isn't 100%, I don't think...) is trailing in this series to the Jazz.

The Jazz without Kirilenko and Okur, two staples to their rotation.

    What's your opinion of Carmelo?

    I think he is T-Mac 2.0

If George Karl were coaching them, the Nuggets would be up either 3-0 or 2-1. Adrian Dantley is being put into a "no win" situation. His personality type is totally different than that of George Karl. Plus, whether you like him or not, Karl is a VERY knowledgeable Xs & Os basketball encyclopedia. He really knows his stuff.

For a fairly quiet & reserved, much less experienced guy like Dantley to come in and be put on the spot like this is really unfair. I still think the Nuggets can pull out the series for the reasons you name above. But if they have any Finals aspirations, Karl has to come back soon. He is their mojo and even Chauncey Billups can't make up for that.

Nugs4, you know my past feelings about Karl, but I've come full circle now. Having a son go through cancer twice and then he himself, I can't help but admire him now. It also helps that he's dropped the jerk act and doesn't play public mind games with his players as much.

You are a charlatan. Being a fan of the Rockets and being a "fan" of the Spazz-Holes happens to be mutually exclusive. Go find a blog that revels in your team, dude.

If there is any justice, you will be picking flowers in Los Angeles or Salt Lake City very soon. You sure as hell don't belong here.

Speaking of George Karl, that was a great halftime feature story.

Damn, watching half time and the Rick Reilly interview with Coach Karl.

He is tough and really makes you appreciate life a little bit more.

I hope he gets better and gets to coach his team in the 2nd round!

    Get well soon, George!

Yeah it was. It's stories like this that remind you that baskteball is only a game. The overall picture is that the NBA is a family, and you've got to root for everyone involved in it. I wish him the best.

Honestly, it depends on the day. I'm on record here as never buying the Glenn Robinson 2.0 talk. I always thought that was asinine. The thing is, Melo can be a top 5 player when he wants. He has phenomenal floor vision (I maintain that's the most underrated part of his game), he can rebound and he can be a good defender. Unfortunately, it appears he doesn't always want to. He can get selfish, he can go 1-on-5 for long periods of time. He can pout. He can stand straight up on D and not move his feet. It's hard to tell. Honestly, the T-Mac comparison might be one of the better ones I've ever seen. I personally was never a huge T-Mac fan, so I would place Melo above him, but they're very similar.

I will say that I don't deal him if I'm the Nugs unless you get a "knock the socks off" type of offer. Period.

I have NO inside knowledge on this, but I think JR is gone this off-season. I think it would be a mistake, but it also wouldn't surprise me if KMart is shopped. I doubt he's moved because of his deal, and I hope he's not because he's the heart of our D, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear he's being shopped.

This man brings the knowledge. Everyone needs to read this post again.
