so i hate the jazz just as much as everyone here...but damn deron williams is absolutely disgusting. personally i think hes the best pg in the game right now. his play making abilities are just as good as nash, rondo, paul and hes got the best shot aside from nash. hes also got the size advantage. sorry ill probably get blasted for this but this was all i could think about while watching the game.
It's not like it's Popovich or Phil Jackson missing on the sidelines. It's George Karl, who has had his moments but is not an elite NBA coach. Yes, it's a difficult ordeal, but not impossible to deal with (not the same, but Fisher's daughter had a drastic illness when he made his playoff run with Utah a few years back) and Karl's projected to be back if the team makes it to the second round.
it's not about if he's an elite coach or not. it's that adrian dantley doesn't understand how to coach THAT nuggets team in terms of handling their emotions. the nuggets just are not a mature team and karl knows how to manage all their conflicting personalities. in the end of that jazz game they were just all out of control like they had no sense of direction.
At some point, especially for a team like the Nuggets who have been together a good while now, the players have to be held accountable for their emotions and know how to act and react in playoff basketball games, especially stars like Melo. It's not like these are high school or college kids. These are professional athletes.
darn the jazz are losing early right now 20-14, i hope they can make a run late in the qaurter,GO JAZZ!!!
Hopefully the Nuggets come back and make this an exciting game like Mavs-Spurs. Who's on commentary? I've never heard so much (or any) Korver knob slobbing.
i am so glad utah is winning!!! anyways the nuggets are playing like they have given up, their is still a 4th quarter to go, the nuggets should be disgusted with their efforts tonight, the jazz are missing kirilinko and okur, two starters and yet they are still blowing the nuggets out, at least this should be a close game
They miss George Karl. With the Jazz hobbled, I didn't think the Nuggets could lose this series, ESPECIALLY after Okur went down in game 1. But the Nuggets are coming unglued too easily. For their own peace of mind, they need to make a major run in the 4th quarter. Their lack of poise is pathetic. I was hoping they would give the Lakers a rough time in the 2nd round and maybe beat them, but that's a pipe dream.
where is billups with his leadership? they're crumbling right now. and they aren't playing defense. it's the same thing with allen iverson a few years ago
JR Smith just completely ignored Lawson who had a layup. Of course then turned the ball over, then you are looking at a 11 point lead. ....Put a fork in it...you see what little things like that cause? Had Smith made that easy pass MAYBE Sloan calls a timeout and this run to get the lead back up to 20 doesn't happen.
