Pops is the best coach of all-time. of ALL-TIME. How the hell are they winning with Tony Parker not playing to his full potential? They have a slow Duncan, an aging Ginobili, a low IQ player in RJ and a bunch of mediocre players... wow. THat's perfect team ball.
The Spurs AT&T Center is one of the top 5 loudest arenas in the NBA... we need more of Parker riiiiiiight now!
based on the games i've watched him play.. he fumbles the ball, takes bad shots, and makes bad passes.
It'll never happen but I would love to see what Pop's could do with that Dallas squad. I give the Mavs credit for coming back but they have to change that let's feed the ball to Dirk and let him score all the points philosophy.
Lack of guts on Carlisle's part. He knows that if he leaves his starters in, no matter how they're doing, he can justify it. If Beaubois messes up at the end of the 4th, no matter how good he did up to that point, he'd be blamed for a poor coaching decision. Popovich, on the other hand, benched his starter Parker in the Finals when he was screwing up and had Speedy Claxton handling the PG duties in the 4th quarter. And the Spurs won. Phil Jackson did this, too, back when Chicago was playing Portland in the Finals. Phil let the reserves stay in and they brought the team from losing to winning (I think it was game 6, the one that won the 'ship for Chicago).
I don't understand why you keep Terry in the game when he is struggling big time, and keep Beaubois on the bench when the Spurs have not been able to stop him.
