...in a ciritcal playoff game. Duncan has been blessed to have a great supporting cast along with great coaching and management throughout his career.

I don't like the Spurs. But I actively hate the Mavs, so it's easy to pick a horse in this race.

Same ol Mavs... wow! Game gets physical and tough and Dirk disappears. There is KNOW way he should let the team go over 8 mins with no points. Not even a FT. He settles for his fall away jumper waaaay too often. C Butler is really surprising me. I expected so much more from him. He is just shooting step back jumpers. I guess they follow Dirk's lead. Its still not over, but that loss had to put so much doubt in there heads.

I bet they will be trying to move Dampier this summer for a somebody that can consistently score in the paint. Can't rely on Dirk to lead them anymore. They HAVE to get a inside scorer.

The Mavs are "regular season wonders," and "playoff blunders." What's the point of a high seeding if every year you are one and done. All that money, all those players equals "see ya."

I have to ask this question, in like 20 minutes, Dampier had no points, how on earth did he get a NBA contract? Even when the Mavs play the Rockets, I wonder this, does he have something over Cuban that we don't know about?

He was having success guarding Duncan in games 1 and part of game 2... he's only in there for defense and rebounding... but Erica does claim he's the 2nd best center in the NBA.

It speaks volumes that out of the two big Maverick acquisitions that would supposedly put them over the top, Shawn Marion didn't get off the pine tonight in the 4th quarter, while Caron Butler didn't play at all in the 4th in game 3. What's the point of taking on all that payroll, and not play them when it matters? Marion's style of play is just not conducive to winning in the playoffs. Butler needs an off-season to really mesh with the team, but he alone isn't going to be enough to turn the Mavs into contenders.

Sorry, I didn't see your post -- don't know how I missed it. I bow to your superior hatred. I will even venture to say it's worth doubleposting.

It must crush Cuban every season around late April or early May to have his team end their overrated season, LOL.u

Dude spends and spends but that still hasn't produced a championship caliber team.

Karma is a real b****! Ever since his ass sent in the tapes of Yao to league officials during our playoff series in 05, its been all down hill from then. Even that 06 squad had their ass handed to them by the same refs who helped them out in our series.

Dwayne Wade, I would personally thank you for those last 5 or so mins. that you shot the last 27 free throws to beat the Mavpricks!

While all of this is happening, Morey's Rockets are ready for their championship run while the Mavpricks are already showing signs of declining!

    Les Alexander> Mark Cuban
    Daryl Morey> Donnie Nelson
    Rick Adelman > Rick Carlisle
    Yao Ming > Dirk Nowitski
    Aaron Brooks > Jason Kidd
    Kyle Lowry > Jason Terry

I could go on and on, but you get the gist of it.

Dampier put up a decent 12/12 season in a contract year, his last with the Warriors. Cuban took the bait, made a HUGE mistake and Dampier
& his contract have been millstones around the Mavs necks ever since.

If you care to know, that signing caused the Warriors to panic and re-sign Dampier's backup, Adonal Foyle to an even stupider contact.
