I said the trade wouldn't work and was blasted by some on this board... Just saying, Dallas likes its group of current and former all stars. And in the playoffs good teams beat those groups...
really? they're usually two of the most disciplined, well-coached teams with guys who know how to play the game and the quality of play is usually pretty high. i would think you'd love their series.
why when there is .1 or .2 left do teams always throw it in to someone who catches the pass instead of tipping it? do they think they'll just ignore the "you can't catch it with less than .3" rule or something? i realize you can't waste a lot of practice time on such a low percentage play, but couldn't someone, at least once, actually run something interesting? like just throw it high to a guy who bats it backwards. that's really you're only chance anyway.
Ha ha FFFF Mark Cuban. His 2nd seeded Mavericks are gonna get kicked out of the playoffs in the first round. YES!!!!!!! Further proof that god doesn't favor the Mavericks or whiny owners that sit in the sidelines.
It's because I'm a Rockets fan. I used to be a part-time Spurs fan but that is pretty much all gone. Right now both teams are on my negative list and I can't stand to see them play. When they oppose each other, my indifference increases by a factor of 1000. What intrigues me now is the utter heartbreak Mark Cuban and the Mavs would suffer if the team on their most hated list, the Spurs, chopped them down in the 1st round. How long ago was that 13-game winning streak? Did it really happen?
I'm not a Spurs fan but I really dislike Dallas. I hope Spurs can close this out in 5, that would be great to see the faces of Dallas fans as they get eliminated so quickly and in their homecourt. Still, I'll take Dallas losing the series even if it's in 7.
Hey, I learned my lesson with that team. Don't count em out unless they're dealing with an injury to one of the 3. They also bring in players who fit in the system and produce- Nazi Mohammed, Finley, Hill, Blair, etc. As much as I disliked how he became coach, I must give credit to Popovich for being a no-frills, no-excuses coach who manages games fairly well and gives Manu/Parker just enough freedom for them to do their thing. Dallas, on the other hand, they SHOULD be winning some of these series (like in 2006 and 2007), but it seems as if they don't have a lot of confidence in the key moments and they don't have enough continuity- but who knows? All I know is that a prediction of Dallas in 4 or 5 was absolutely silly- talking about us like we didn't know basketball- please, anyone who's watched the Mavs over the past several years knew this would be a possible outcome.
