Everyone knows the Lakers wouldn't be where they are without Gasol.

Finals are gonna be boring and I'm not giving the NBA anymore ratings the rest of the season. I am so sick of the Lakers being the only team to come out of the west.

Seriously??? Is this pretty much all the ammo that Kobe haters have left?

That his teammates are capable of bailing him out? Weak.

Does it lessen any of Hakeem's greatness because HIS teammates had to bail him out countless times during his finals run?

    "...as the people in TNT."

You know Collins wanted to say "...as the people in the LA Lakers organization."

hey doug, sorry to break this to you but your team is going to be a lottery team while you're there, and then you'll be back in the booth in no time again.

Maybe Nash can dish out the assists from a wheelchair...?

That's just it. If Hakeem's teammates had not bailed him out, he probably couldn't get there by himself.

LeBron got a POS Cavs team to the Finals only to be swept by the Spurs, and he keeps putting a POS Cavs team on his back year after year, with no discernible results.

LA, aside from Kobe could probably make it to the second round (granted, an exit) without Kobe. Can that Cavs team? No.

Bottom line is you need quality teammates to win. Kobe has the luxury with 3 all stars caliber teammates. Hakeem won with Horry, Cassell hitting clutch jumpers too. If only Mo Williams and Jamison can hit some open jumpers....

I didn't watch Hakeem play, but if that's what happened, then that's what happened.

Why are you so stupid? People are comparing two great players right now, and some are basing it all on team success. That's like saying Paul Pierce is better than LeBron James in 2008 because Pierce won a Finals MVP. He clearly had a better supporting cast, and you expect more from him.

Go ahead, debunk my argument and label me a Kobe hater. The rest of the world, outside of the Laker bandwagon, knows that LeBron is the superior player. If LeBron has a first round performance that Kobe had (42% FG?), who steps up and wins it for him? Give me your explanation. If LeBron misses a game winner, who rescues him? Who on the Cavs average more offensive rebounds than Gasol?

Give me your thoughts if you can. Don't take it personal and call people names because you can't think.

Gasol got them ther. Though Kobe and Fisher really showed championship experience. Gasol's been successful, even going to his 3rd straight Finals. But he and Artest in the CRUNCH on ROAD didnt deliver like Kobe and Fisher.

Fisher doesnt have any defense anymore, but he's savvy and knows when he has to step with shots. Odom, Gasol and Artest didnt do diddly in last 8 minutes.

Steve Nash(notes) had 21 points and nine assists in his 118th playoff game, the most for anyone who has never reached the finals.

Brutal. Nash is WORSE than those guys.

Poor steve :( When do you see him retiring? And will he go down as a great and be remembered or will he go down as good but not great.
