And Suns only committed one foul in last 8 minutes. Refs are genius. They swallow the whistle once it's over the limit.
They went 15 yrs between opponents hitting a buzzer shot at them that left all 3 zeros on the clock. The streak started on 11/25/95 on a shot by Finley out of a center court jump ball. It took until 12/2/08 before it happened again - on a tap in by Troy Murphy in Indiana. Then they lost to Andre Iguodala at the buzzer later in 2008. From 11/25/95 until now, the Lakers have been beaten at the buzzer 3 times and have won at the buzzer 14 times, including 2 by Shaq (believe it or not), 4 times in the playoffs, and 9 by Kobe himself. That doesn't include all the other game winners that left even 1/10th on the clock or the figure would probably be over 20x. Horry and Harper both won playoff gms in Portland almost near the buzzer, which I didn't count. Kobe beat Phx in the 2000 playoffs w/ 1 sec left, which I didn't count. I left off about 4 of Kobe's non buzzer gm winners from this year alone.
Wow, thanks for the stats (where did you get that info?) That is some seriously lucky horse**** right there.
Right, they committed 4 fouls in first 4 minutes, and somehow they didn't foul again even though the game was very physical down the stretch. We are all witness.
Not you, since you obviously are just going by the box score. This game wasn't too poorly officiated (like the other two in LA), but the Lakers definitely got the benefit of the doubt. They get plenty of FTs for being as soft as toliet paper.
Yes, that's what started the discussion, because it was so shocking. He should lead the league in Ts for the nonstop screaming he does at the refs all game long.
Game 6 will be a Suns blowout and game 7 will be a Lakers blowout. This stuff pretty much writes itself.
You're more sensitive to his histrionics than everyone else's. The league as a whole is an effin whine vineyard.
Let's hope that game 6 is a blowout. I think the Suns can keep it close in game 7 to have a shot at the end to win it.
I made a mistake, it was only 13 yrs. I'm a Laker fan, I've been keeping track of that since 1987 (the tally is 21 to 10 since then, but it's 14-3 from 11/25/95 to now). Like I said, this is not counting 4 playoff gms, even the one Pau just won with 5/10ths left. ALL ZEROS on clock... Against LA: 11/25/95 @ PHX - Finley 12/2/08 @ IND - Murphy 3/17/09 vs PHI - Iguodala For LA: 4/13/97 vs UTA - Shaq 1/15/01 vs VAN - Shaq 2/22/02 @ CHA - Kobe 2002 WCF, Gm 4 vs SAC - Horry 3/5/03 vs IND - Horry 4/4/03 @ MEM - Kobe 12/19/03 vs DEN - Kobe 4/14/04 @ POR - Kobe 2004 WCF, Gm 4 @ SA - Fisher 2006 WCQF, Gm 4 vs PHX - Kobe 12/4/09 vs MIA - Kobe 12/16/09 @ MIL - Kobe 1/1/10 vs SAC - Kobe 2010 WCF, Gm 5 vs PHX - Kobe
