" Donaghy predicted we would see this play out in the Lakers-Suns series, which L.A. leads 2-1. “I will see Phoenix get the benefit of the calls tonight,” Donaghy said. Donaghy said the NBA official supervisors never came right out and said you have to make one team win. “Never do they say they want this to be the outcome,” Donaghy said. “But they do put you in a room and tell you what to look for.”…[SI.com's Dan Patrick Show]
Where did this guy come from? It seems like he came out of no where. Why can't Morey draft euro players like him?!
I honestly feel for Kobe... reminds me of the 2007 playoffs against the Suns when nobody on that Lakers team was helping him and he had to go out and get 50.
Great game. Suns, were red hot late. And their zone defense was pretty damn good. Watching Artest brick those WIDE open threes made me so happy he's no longer a Rocket. Ron....and Rafer.....
It wasnt just the zone. I thought Amundson was flat out hustling Gasol and Bynum. He was just out working them on the boards. Even Lopez was showing flashes. Phoenix was the tougher team tonight, but yes, the zone defense definitely worked. You can live all day with people like Artest and Fisher laying bricks.
"Haaai, y'all. This is Alvin Gentraaaay. See that Dragic fella over there. He was in beast mode tonight."
I actually felt bad for Kobe there, whenever he passed to Artest. Kobe was probably like "yellow jersey on the outside, must be Odom." "****!"
Talk about team rebounding. Every single Suns player that played tonight other than Barbosa had between 4-8 rebounds. That's an impressive balance and reflects a total team effort.
Haha yeah, I'm hoping he has the same as or even better success than Dragic. I just looked it up, Lull's 2 years younger and the Rockets are expected to sign him for the 2011-12 season, so he'll be the same age as when Dragic entered the league.
