I have come to realize that Amare's pathetic defense is not simply because of his lack of interest. He is a very low IQ basketball player.
Phoenix will be that team in the off season. They're content to ride that pony to the playoffs. Just not the championships, as his defense currently indicates.
Your point is irrelevant because his team actually DID respond to his pep talk. So clearly he is NOT a moron. I see the point you were trying to make but I BELIEVE you were wrong. End of story. Two Rockets fans should be arguing over the Suns coaching lol.
Yeah they do have a shot... of course, especially with the defense they are playing. I still think the Lakers are the best team. To bring this up again, the Lakers DO NOT need Bynum. They can get him his surgery for his knee and get him ready for Boston/Orlando.
Gentry needs to play Hill, Nash, Richardson, Dudley, Amundson he needs to sit Frye and Stoudemire Frye should not play anymore this series.
This is the worst NBA playoffs ever .......not very competitive. Can you think of a worse Playoff year?
This. He busts his ass up and down the court and plays hard on Defense. His fundamentals are as pure as Battier's. Another Dukey doing his thing.
Lakers need to close this out.... I don't think the Suns can beat the Lakers twice even if it is in PHX.
Suns Bench brought it back to a manageable game twice then Frye and the starters demolished all hope of a victory.
At least the finals should be really good this year. Lakers are a powerhouse as well as the Celtics or Orlando. It'll get better hopefully.
Frye looks scared, Amare is the most pitiful defender possibly ever, Amundson and Lopez are white... Suns are screwed.
Yeah they responded with another double digit loss. If my coach said "if we are going down.." repeatedly during halftime, down only 9 points, and in game 2 of best of 7 series, I would have smacked him. That's not coaching. That's De-motivational talk. He is sowing seeds of doubt within his team.
When he said, "If we are going down," that sets up a scenario in the Suns mind where it is OK to lose. Explicitly, their coach is telling them to fight harder against tough opposition. Implicitly, Gentry is telling them they have no chance to win. He might have told them to pack their bags and go home right there and then.
