Boston cant matchup either. Odom is a 6'10 pg in a pf body. He's too big for a small guy and too quick for a big. Even a guy like garnett have problems with odom. Odom is basically the same size as garnett. When he's locked in and want to play, he's tough which is frustrating watching him play.
wow. Lakers really wanted to make a statement this game. hopefully, the Suns can bounce back next game.
The Laker was really focused and determined to finish the Suns off from grave to cradle. Kobe seemed like a man on a mission and put up a 40 points performance down the stretch, didn't watch the game though, but I did listen to the game on ESPNradio. Hopefully the Suns would gather themselves and bounce back in G2.
The Suns have no chance if they aren't going to be allowed to breathe on Kobe, which seems to be the case from game #1. Hill had at least three bogus fouls. However, the real mistake was not even trying a zone (not guaranteed to work but it definitely had a chance). I don't know if Gentry is just waiting to pull that out in a winnable game (maybe @home when the refs aren't quite so biased) or if he's just clueless. It has worked for the other two opponents.
Suns shot 10 more FT than Lakers (32 vs. 22) on the road. And you still called out the refs? It's going to be really really ugly if refs didn't have mercy on Suns.
The referees certainly didn't have any deciding factor on the outcome of the game... I think he's talking about the questionable fouls that had been called on Grant Hill which forced him to sit out. I personally think it wouldn't have mattered in that 3rd quarter if Hill was on him or not, Dudley was playing pretty good D on him and he was still hitting tough shots.
Assuming teams should shoot equal FTs is just poor analysis. If you think there are bad calls, point them out. Grant Hill was doing a good job on Kobe but was called for three bad fouls + a bogus tech to take him out of the game. One of them was a "hook" that Gasol did exactly the same way earlier in the game. It is calls like this that can change the flow of a game. I am not saying the Suns would have won (I don't think they can playing a straight man defense since the Lakers have too much size), but that doesn't make the inconsistency of the reffing less frustrating.
I won't complain refs when a game's won by 20 pts. There's always some bad calls, and usually going both ways. It actually favors the Suns if refs call touchy fouls. If refs allow both team to be physical like magic-celtics series. Suns don't stand a chance.
I want to see Suns win in 7...but Amare CANNOT PLAY ANY SEMBLANCE OF DEFENSE nor does he go for rebounds! He's making Gasol and Odom look ridiculously better than they should!
kobe was awesome tonight. this was his best game in the playoffs, and most efficient. if he can be anywhere near this efficiency, the lakers will be tough to beat. if he doesn't have it, i mean pau only drops 20 and 11 every damn night.
