So you're saying they've been giving that effort for the entire game? Please show me.... They've had possessions where they've played defense... but for 97% of the game... they've looked dismal on the defense end.
When i saw odom come out and played aggressive, the game was over. When odom decides to play, no team can matchup with la.
You can't take a charge when someone has already lifted off the floor... It's called undercutting the offensive player... something Utah in the 90's used to get away with, particularly Karl Malone.
'don't want' and 'unable to' are two different things! What make you think that the suns don't want to play defense in conference finals?!
He was standing there long before Brown jumped. That's exactly why Brown jumped from so far back instead of continuing to the rim.
yeah, when odom shows up, the lakers are pretty ridiculous. certainly no team in the west can stop them. boston can match up with odom though, which is why i'm hoping they don't beat orlando (but they will).
Actually if you watch the replay... Richardson turns his body at the last second which is probably why the blocking foul was called.
How do you give up 90 pts through 3 quarters and also try on defense? It's not like the Lakers are hitting tough shots... there isn't enough effort being put on the defensive end by the Suns, YES partly because they can't guard them but mainly because they aren't rotating and proving help defense, therefore... they are not playing defense.
Yeah, I found a clip and he did shift his right foot. Even with that, I still think it's a call that would be a charge on any team but the Lakers... but Richardson deserves credit for helping blow what should have been one of the easiest charge calls ever.
I did see JRich turn but he did not sell the call by falling backwards. That still doesn't excuse the poor calls on Grant Hill as well as the missed call on Gasol hooking Stoudemire.
