The Thunder are young with no playoff experience so they were either going to come out smoking or come out looking horrible. Obviously they came out looking bad but now they have settled down so they will be more competitive.
OKC is very lucky to be down only 8 despite looking totally overwhelmed in most of the first half. Westbrook finally remembered Fisher can't stay with him and he made an impact the last couple of minutes. On the other hand, Fisher jacks up 11 shots and Farmar plays like he left his head in the locker-room. (I'd say it's close to 100% he won't be a Laker next season). The Thunder are within striking distance. They have to clog the middle better and start hitting some shots to make a game of it. Like the Celts (but not nearly to the same extent), the Lakers might be ready to lose today if the Thunder can play inspired to finish the game. KD, Green, Westbrook and maybe one other player (Harden? Krstic?) need to hit shots. The Lakers will probably make a 3rd quarter push so the Thunder need to come out with high energy.
^^^ Gasol gets out rebounded by Bosh in every game they play against each other BTW. I heard Okur is out for the season....B-Ball Gods indeed.
Why are we even arguing what the Rockets would do? Houston had a chance but didn't make it. A lot of you were blinded by that Lakers series last year.
I'm really tired of Green jacking up shots, and Durant not even touching the ball on 2 out of 3 possessions.
I don't understand why they settle for jump shots when they have mismatches... Westbrook seems to be the only smart IQ on this team right now.
Thabo is getting stripped every time he puts it on the floor and Green is just too scared to even try. He's a decent finisher too. Today's Jeff Green is the one who started the season and couldn't hit the side of a barn. KD can't get around Artest. I figured he would struggle big time today. Westbrook needs to continue abusing Fisher, relentlessly. The Thunder need to run their offense through him for now.
