I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe purposely played passive and let his team lose just to make a point. He has done that in the past.

He always does that in the days of Shaq.
Phil likes big man touch more, and will go banana on Kobe. Kobe then show it up to Phil to prove he is wrong.

Why do you guys keep responding to him? If you ignore him he will stop doing whatever he is doing.

Every page there is like 4 or 5 responses to whatever post he makes. You guys are doing exactly what he wants.

When that guy posts, don't respond. Just ignore it, and go about your daily posting. :)

This series reminds me of Celtics-Hawks from a couple of years ago. Young team with a lot of guys with their first playoff experience and aging title team that can't win on the road. I see it playing out exactly the same way.

I really hope the Thunder can throw the knockout blow in one of the LA games, and become the 4th team in NBA history to knock off a number one seed.

Who cares about ratings, I rather see the spirit of competition succeed over preferential teams in the Finals.

A little, but not too much. Because the Thunder have been competitive in every single game, while the Hawks were blown out often on the road in that series.

Also, the Hawks really did not have a player as dynamic as Durant, a point guard as good Westbrook (Bibby was past his prime at that point as he is now), or low post shotblocker.

my cheering for the Thunder or the Lakers in this series will not affect the future of either franchise.

and there's no way in hell I'm pulling for the Lakers so that they can play the Cavs later, or so that the Thunder get "lease experience"

we have an 8 seed playing a 1 seed , David vs. goliath, small market underdog keeping up with the big boys.

    a chance at upset History!

I repeat, there's no way in hell I'm pulling for the Lakers.

although seeing the Jazz advance would make me cringe, seeing nothing but upsets in the western Conference First Round would be very exciting (Portland, Utah, Spurs, and Thunder have all tied their series or taken the lead)

These Lakers' fans are sorry bunch (well most of in the forums in anyway) with this whining... "Oh, the referees are letting the Thunder walk to the line . . ." "The refs are giving Durant and Westbrook preferential treatment . . ." "The NBA wants Durant in the Finals . . ." "The NBA is rooting for a small market team..."

C'mon now, the Thunder have gotten more free throws in every single game of the series than Lakers (even in Staples). Moreover, the Thunder are a much more aggressive team (do not settle as much on outside jumpers). Gasol (soft), Odom (doesn't seem to care/makes dumb plays) and Bynum (no heart/plan just don't care) are part of the problem as well, how did you get out rebounded and outplayed by an inferior front line.

I can see why our team almost beat them last year (even with out Yao/Mutombo for half the series). That's one thing I can respect about our team (with inferior talent) is that this year and last year, the guys never quit and went out played every quarter, like it was the last one. Which is something the Lakers do infrequently.

IF the Thunder can win the next game it will be one of the best upsets in NBA history. The Thunder need to win the next game in order to win the series, they will not win if it goes to the 7th game.

I really hope the Thunder upset the Lakers. Got to love that Durant modeled his game after T-Mac  . As of now, the "grasshopper" has surpassed his "teacher".

anyone whining about the refs isn't watching this series.

Kobe took two shots in the first half- both threepointers, and people are moaning that he isn't getting to the line.

every LA Laker turnover also led to a Lamar Odom bearhug on every ensuing fast break.

oh, and the Lakers shot 60% from the line. it must be a conspiracy.

the Thunder outhustled, outrebounded, outworked, and straight outplayed the Lakers last night, making them look just as old as the aging Celtics team that won the title just two years ago...

I don't think anyone here has even complained about the refs... even some of us that aren't going for the Thunder. Unless... you're referring to the Laker fans on other boards.
