the lakers are not done yet guys so stop hating on them!!! there is a game 5 and guess what its in los angeles, the lakers have the home court and apparently oklahoma city thunder have never won in la since the franchise left seattle, so what makes you laker haters think OKC can win in LA?
thats B.S., the thunder mainly won games 3 and 4 because of they were motivated by their lively raocous, crowd in game 5 the thunder will have no crazy loud crowd in LA to motivate them and help them win against the lakers!! the lakers will have the home advantage
Jesus Christ the Laker forum contains a ridiculous amount of "blame the refs" thread. Seriously, everytime I actually troll the Laker forum to see their reaction to a loss, it's always "blame the refs". The sad part is, 90% of them actually believe the refs are at fault everytime.
o was at the lakers furom yesterday and me and other lakers fanboys were complaining about the lack of calls for the lakers freethrow shooting, there is a huge free throw disparity in the last two games
We're a suspect of this too. When I use to lurk around these boards in 07 during the playoffs, I used to read all the "blame the refs" posts here in GARM. Laker fans usually take it to another level, but every fan base does it.
But the point is they had a chance at the end. The Rockets didnt look good in LA after game 1, the Thunder definitely do. Plus the Lakers home court advantage is garbage, one of the worst crowds in the NBA.
Every fan base does it, but a fan base of a team that is notorious for getting special treatment? Insulting to say the least.
After watching the refs screw the Kings out of a championship back in the day, Laker fans can stfu about refs.
Like I said, they don't believe that. Put yourself in their shoes... I would think you would react the same way... no fan base will admit their team gets special treatment and no fan base will ever feel that way. That's always how it is... if you lose the game, the refs had something to do with it. It's easier to resort to than to blame your team for its mishaps.
Phil and Kobe are to blame for their whiny fans. Phil cries to the media about the refs. Kobe cries to the refs about the refs. Gasol just cries all the time.
So here are the two theories. Somebody was sending a message to Phil Jackson in game 4. Was it: (1) David Stern. Were the refs the reason the Thunder shot 48 FTs? That is an incredible number of FTs. Was it because the Thunder were in attack mode and the Lakers were a half-step slow? A couple of Odom's fouls were so stupid that no conspiracy could be involved. What a space cadet! How much you wanna bet PJ doesn't say another word about the refs or about Stern being heavy-handed. (2) Kobe. Is it a coincidence that Kobe only had 10 FGAs after chucking 29 in game 3? Did the game plan call for Kobe to not take a single shot in the 1st quarter or was he teaching the fans, newspaper writers and his teammates not to question the number of shots he takes? I thought he was unusually passive to start the game and was clearly over-passing the ball to avoid taking wide-open shots. IMO, there was more to it than just getting Gasol and Bynum more involved. I would blame the LA Times sportwriters if they ripped him a new one. Kobe is such a jerk of all jerks. The only other reasonable explanation would be his injuries are worse than advertised. If this is the case, the Lakers won't be repeating as champions. But if he's hurting so bad, why was he able to play so hard and long in game 3?
lol the lakers fans said this after that series vs the kings when the kings got robbed and rockets-lakers (battier bleeding, fisher foul against scola, kobe vs battier, etc)
