What was awesome last season when the Thunder were terrible, was whenever a game was close in the 4th quarter, the OKC crowd acted like it was game 7 in the NBA Finals. It was usually against another pathetic team but the crowd didn't care. If they had a reason to cheer, they did it with gusto. Sometimes it was so wild it was laughable.
What exactly is his strength? The commentators said his first three this game was the first field goal for him this SERIES. If his strength was offense, you'd think he already make some shots before this game...
He was a no. 3 pick. I was impressed by him in summer league (orlando). I think he is an all-around wing player. I expected him to be a player like Roy.
.....I dunno about you, but I expect a player who's going to be like Roy should not fail to make a field goal in 2 games. And Collison is awful.
Harden's strength is playmaking and 3-point shooting. He has a knack for attacking the basket and drawing fouls. He is a very good passer and has some PG instincts. He's made a bunch of dynamic plays this season. He's also a very intelligent, savvy player. Like most rookies, he's been inconsistent. Like most rookies, he's not doing that well in the playoffs. His full season stats don't tell the whole story because his shooting was HORRIFIC the first part of the season. It took him a while to find his stroke. Harden has a bright future despite his complete choke job in games 1 & 2. He is an ideal 6th man.
Large cities don't have great atmospheres most of the time. It's usually the small markets that produce the great crowds, mainly because cities only have one team to cheer for. Houston did have a pretty good crowd in 2007 when we played Utah. Majority of people like the Texans and Astros better than the Rockets regardless of how much each team sucks.
Thunder overloads talents, especially for perimeter players. Harden didn't get a fair chance there. If he was drafted by another lottery team, he would be developed more. Some raptors fans want to s&t Bosh to the thunder. I think that would be good for both sides.
if that is true about houstonians preferring to root for bad or mediocre teams then houston is indeed a city where its people support mediocrity just like what the chronicle writer solomon stated in the garm article; thus shoustonians are okay, use to with supporting bad teams
I hate Doug Collins announcing Lakers games, he is so far up Kobe's ass he could tell you what the last thing Kobe had to eat was.
part of the reason durant is struggling in this series is that the refs apparently think he has to be mugged to get a foul call. he gets absolutely no cheap calls (like fisher fouling him on the fastbreak before he got the charge for his 3rd foul), which all superstars usually get, even in the playoffs. artest couldn't stay with brandon roy last year but phil jackson says durant gets too many calls and now artest is holding down durant because he can body durant and not get beat on a drive because he apparently can't be called for a handcheck. i'd love to see artest try this D while still in a rockets uniform. and i say this as someone who wants the lakers to win this series and face cleveland in the finals.
I believe the refs referee the game too much based on reputation. And that is one thing I don't like about the NBA. Just because Artest has been known as a great defender, he is a allowed to get away with a lot.
Thunder has great fans! I noticed how everyone is wear a blue shirt , even floor seats are covered in blue shirts. Plus you dont see Laker Fans...damn. TC would only be about 60% in red.
Durant is being man-handled... The Thunder have a lot of work to do before they can become a championship caliber team. I hate the freaking smirk on Kobe's face. Somebody slap that man.
