This may seem like a weird idea but i really think Mbenga can guard big baby and block the lights out on any shot baby puts up.
You're right my bad on that. 8 wins at home and 1 on the road. The one being the championship clinching game at Orlando last year
but he has no use in the triangle according to Phil Jackson, therefore he will not play. The Lakers were desperate for size and rebounding back in 2008 and Phil stayed with Ronny Turiaf who averaged about 1.7 points and .8 rebounds a game throughout the playoffs and stuck with him.
Phil should start Mbenga and sit Bynum out to rest his knee. At this point, he couldn't be too much worse than a 50% Bynum. That would leave the bench rotations about the same except LO would come in a min or 2 earlier.
Kobe's "Miserable". Look for him to really get involved in the offense and get his team started hitting early.
Must-Win for the Celtics. I'm looking for Sheed and Ray to bust out of their funk. F Joey Crawford...gives me more reason to root for the Celts. We don't need another championship team full of Floppers. Kobe is one of the greatest, but I hate his supporting cast, excluding Ron-Ron. Generally, LA fans are only LA fans because of the Lakers' winning percentages or slurp Kobe up like a 3-6 Mafia song. If you're from LA, I get it. If you've stuck with LA through the mediocre years, fine. But if you're a bandwagoner like 90% of their star-laced fanbase, NBA fans despise you. Go Celtics! /Rant 2
I am not a Celtics fan, not even close, BUT I dislike the Lakers even more! This is clearly a must win for the green. If they do, then it is a two game series and they have to win only one, while LA must win both. Even though LA will be at home, this will not be easy to do. Unfortunately, Kobe knows this and will play like a man possessed tonight.
I don't see any way PJ can start a very cold DJ Mbenga in game 5 of the NBA Finals. On top of that, Mbenga is a sorry basketball player. It's a recipe for making the Lakers very easy to defend, more likely to foul on defense and guaranteeing the Celts start the game well. They played his incredible story a couple of years ago on ESPN. He seems like a really good guy and is one of the few Lakers I cheer for. It's great he's in the NBA.
Bynum has his knee drained on Friday. I think whenever he gets his knee drained (he did it between games 1 and 2) he becomes effective. There is no need to go to MBenga.
Hilarious. The Lakers aren't even guarding him and he hasn't done much. Try not guarding Nash and see what happens. Bryant is getting to rest by "guarding" Rondo and it's helping his offense as a result.
