Thats true, and he stopped being a basketball player. When he does that, he's no good for you. I remember wally z giving him the business 2 yrs ago.

Rondo has gotten away with about 10 fouls in the last 2 games but man has he turned into a special player. Just needs to get some consistency in that mid-range game and he'll be the total package.

Fisher made a number of flukey shots but they count. I'd call a few them lucky before clutch. It's funny how fast a guy starts getting props after making a few fluke shots. He was getting roasted for months and even years now because of getting abused on a nightly basis.

For the Ray Allen discussion...yea his shot was off

but who was guarding Kobe in that 4th quarter and forcing him to put up one tough shot after another? it was Ray Allen. Playing ridiculous defense like that on a legend really saps your energy.

If rondo doesn't dominate that matchup, no way the clets can win. I really didn't see any shots i haven't seen fisher make before brooksball

Hey, we finally agree. Well, except for the "legend" part. And WTF was Kobe thinking taking those shots?

    Kobe is a legend

And those are Kobe's shots. He took them and made over 50% in the Utah and Phoenix series & he couldn't tonight. Just gotta live with it. Those are makeable shots by Kobe's standards. Boston's perimeter D was ridiculous tonight they were closing out on shooters really fast and allowed little to no dribble penetration or post play while clogging the paint,, it forced guys to take a lot of mid range pull up shots. Fisher converted his, Kobe didnt

I reserve "legend" for guys in the top-10 or so, so no, he's not there yet in my book. He is good but his shot selection is horrible. Those were not mere makable mid-range jumpers, he was talking fallaways with guys draped over him. Yes, he hits them once in a while but nowhere near 50% (if he did that, his FG% would be well over 50% since most of his looks are a lot better). To have a team like that around you and resort to taking those kinds of shots is the definition of "chucker".

Obviously his purpose is to get a rise out of Rockets fans, just like my purpose is to get a rise out of Kobe fans. But at least I'm discussing the game too.

butler? maybe a few years ago and even then not really. he's a ball-stopper without a great shot and he's not really a creator. certainly wasn't useful against SA this year. and iggy is well-rounded but also has a contract from hell so you have to pay big time for that well-roundedness. all 3 were talked about for trades this year because they all have problems.

You have a right to your opinion but it would be hard to leave him out of the top 10 or legend discussion when he gets his 5th ring and 2nd Finals MVP in a week.

He made those shots for the last 2 series thats a good 10 playoff games right there & he's just not converting. He'll make the proper adjustments.

Did you even watch the game? Gasol got helluva lot of touches in the post, he just was rattled and kept passing the ball back out with the shot clock running down. Tonight was the night where everyone's mid range game had to be on point because the paint was clogged and Boston's D was ridiculous on the perimeter

Gasol made a couple of mid range shots and most of Kobe's makes were mid range as well and of course in the fourth D-Fish took over and converted most of his shots from the mid range.

wouldn't a real badass have still dished it out in the next game? flagrant foul, multi-game suspension style? no wonder we lost that series.

Well, the 5th ring isn't a given... I think the Celtics have a chance but they have to win 3 straight because Joey Crawford will certainly be in the building for a game 7. 2nd Finals MVP is even less of a sure thing since Gasol has been outperforming him and pretty much has to for the Lakers to win (since Kobe isn't going to shoot over 40% on high volume the way the C's are defending him). I'm sure Laker fans could live with a title and a Gasol MVP but Kobe fans would be hating life.. which I love!

Paul Pierce where are you? You say Boston is going to win 3 straight and still play horrible for the 2nd straight game.

    Ray Allen was just pathetic.

The refs have been horrible. Let both teams play and stop calling these ticky tack off the ball fouls.
