I did not catch the game. But just had a look at the box score. Allen was 0-13!!! wow did lakers play great D on him or he just did not hit those shots?
The key to guarding Fisher is to give him the uncontested layup. I mean, literally uncontested, and he shoots 30%. Put a guy on him or foul him or make him take it from 10 feet away (the bank shot you mention), and he hits 50%.
Most of his shots were wide open. He was absolutely horrid. In his slight defense, he was being held by Fisher for 90% of the game and only got I think two calls for it.
Lakers are dead last in FTAs in the playoffs by a wide margin, oh, fan that endures never ending Sterling misery. The game they lost at Staples to Boston is their first loss so far where they didn't get a FT parade against them (Phx and OK couldn't beat them w/o upwards of 20 more a game).
BTW, expect goodbug, RockyChamp and the other Kobe nutters to show up after their two day hiatus, typical of bandwagoners.
I think that's what they were trying to do with 50 seconds left - bait him into that high-arcing, lefty layup that he'll often spin out. Unfortunately, he finally made one of those and officials called a cheap touch foul as well to add a free throw... so it backfired in a major way.
What a game! Derek Fisher came up huuuuuge! Winner of game 3 in a 1-1 series goes on to win 28 out of the 32 finals series.
The game isn't defined by the box-score. If you think a call is shifty, bring it up. Teams aren't supposed to get the same number of FT attempts, nor is using a stupid stat like "points in the paint" useful since shots where there are fouls don't get counted as "points in the paint". The Lakers are the league's media darling and when they are involved in a big game they will get the calls more often than not. See Game 7 2000, Game 6 2002 to start. No surprise to see Bavetta officiating both of those, BTW. And if this goes 7, expect to see Joey Crawford there since Bavetta is finally being forced into retirement.
I was here immediately after the loss too asshat and gave Celtics the props and didn't say a single thing about the refs.
No thanks, I'm not a Lakers fan. I'm sorry you don't like Kobe. And oh yeah... I'll post whatever the **** I want.
Geez, I would hope you wouldn't say anything about the refs after that game 2 debacle where they all but gifted the game to the Fakers.
Im gonna bring up that bolded part a lot since you believe it. So dont' change your opinion next time skippy
