I hate both these teams and probably will not watch the finals.

I am a huge NBA fan, but the lack of upsets or new teams winning is starting to make the game boring.

And sadly both teams are gifted those "talents" by inept managers throughout the league.

That's why we need to shorten the playoffs to 3 and 5 game series. It would make the games much more exciting.

I saw a KG interview the other night about this series. I liked his responses. The reporter asked him was he looking forward to seeing LA. His response was basically "don't you mean aren't they looking forward to seeing us....I mean we won....I guess it will be cool". I keep hearing all the talk about LA wanting revenge and how shook they were about the 39 point beatdown, so that's a big advantage. One reason I like Boston in general is because they don't give a damn. They aren't going to be intimidated by LA, and every other team seemed to be, outside of Houston. I mean, I'm sure the 98 Jazz really wanted revenge for 97 but the Bulls were still the Bulls.

He also mentioned how the young players from 08 aren't pups any longer. I know Rondo has really improved but I forgot how much better Big Baby has gotten, and Perkins. Allen as well if his ankle holds up. I don't know if their improvement offsets the Big 3 getting older but we shall see.

I can't pick a winner but wouldn't be suprised to see either team win. I'm just happy Boston doesn't care about LA. Last year when Orlando made it I knew it was over before it started.

If you really care about seeing the better team win then you need 7 games per series. More games = higher chance better team wins. If you want crazy upsets you're better of watching March Madness or NFL playoffs and superbowl.

Stern and his goon squad of refs succeed once more.

So the only reasons these two teams made the finals is because of Stern and the refs?

I realize the Celtics won it all two years ago, but nobody had them in the Finals coming into this post-season. Were you wanting a Hawks-Thunder final or what?

Not the only reason, but they certainly weren't going to fail regardless.

I hate hate hate the seven game series. I think a three game finals would be awesome. Best two out of three with the first and third game going to the team with the better record.

STEIN_LINE_HQ Mr T. update for Finals: Perkins has 6 techs, KG and Sheed have 4 each, Rondo and Kobe have 3 each. One-game suspension trigged by 7th tech

I'd say 5 games. 7 games is a little too long, and 3 games is a little too short.

I absolutely hate both teams. I hope some kind of steroid scandal breaks out and this year has no winner.

BS. People say that no matter who goes to the finals. Don't you think Stern would have wanted LBJ in the finals? EVERYONE wants Lakers-Cavs finals.

Actually, I hope a ref scandal breaks out and no winner this year. Stern, Joe Crawford and crew fired and sentenced.

hate both teams, but since kobe bryant plays on the lakers, ill always root for the other team...

i hope the refs swallow their whistles and let the celtics beat up on the lakers all series just like last time...

and i hope rondo closelines fisher at some point like he did to kirk hinrich a while back or maybe that was posey, either way i hope we see a flagrant foul on fisher that puts him out of the series

Agreed. There was even a lot of talk that Orlando-Cleveland would be playing for the de facto NBA championship as the Lakers had a shaky end to the regular season.

Lakers are 28-3 in the last 3 years at Staples. They have an 11 game home winning streak coming into this game, Celtics aint stealing either of the first 2

Mark this up as 2-0 lead for the lakeshow
