Maybe shane should have given a path to the rim and put kobe in the cheap seats. Thats how thing used to be handled, but when u got a team full of boy scouts, opposing players do what they want to our players.

Always laugh when someone throws out the "true rockets fan" thing by saying if you like a certain player you're not a true fan. Sound like a bunch of middle school girls.

I get your point. But saying all those who hate Kobe just want to fit in is just as bad.

Yeah I shouldn't have said. I really was talking about the ones who come up with the stupid names like Hobe or anything that isn't his name and the ones that keep on calling him a rapist in just about every post.

Kobe played only 34 minutes which was the least among the Laker starters. He picked up his 5th real early in the 4th and that pretty much handicapped his aggressiveness on both ends. And yet the Lakers had the lead and were in it till the end. Some positives for the Lakers from last night

How many minutes were the celtics bigs limited to due to fouls? They had to play Mr. Parker to close the 2nd and LA shaved the lead to a manageable deficit. KG and Pierce gave them nothing and they were basically doubled up at the foul line (not counting all the fouls to extend the game at the end). They have some positives as well.

Yeah Boston has yet to play up to their potential so its not like the Lakers can say well we played bad and the Celtics played out of their mind in Game 2 to win.

Pierce has not played good in this series and KG has been also played bad in this series.

Both teams have lost any rhythm they attempted to gain because of the ridiculous amount of whistles, the refs are dictating the flow of the game. Pierce is playing like he played in the cavs series(when someone is actually guarding him), have to give queensbridge a lot of credit in that department. KG has missed a lot of open jumpers, but on the same token I'm not sure if that's just him lacking rhythm out there or its father time. Right now he's looking like their third best big...

Awwww...the ROF (Rapist only fans) are getting their feelings hurt.

I could care less about class when it comes to Kobe. Rather classless then a rapist.

    Agreed on everything.

If Boston wins this series Pierce better not say he is the best player in the NBA because he sure hasn't played like it in these playoffs.

I think it's father time for KG. This is also the first time he has been tested by a PF that does a lot of his work in the post.

Yeah, maybe he should stop being such a hack on defense and he could last the whole game. Although his team seemed to be doing just fine without him until he came back into the game and started his usual chuckfest instead of feeding obvous mismatch and 1st Laker option Pau Gasol.

I didn't think Kobe would play 34 minutes and Odom would play just 14. I didn't think Gasol and Bynum combined to play 80+ minutes and get outrebounded by the smallest guy on the court (Rondo with 12)

are you really comparing the value of Celtics bigs to Kobe?

The Lakers had more positives to take into game 3 than the Celtics.

It doesn't matter at the end of the day the Celtics still have yet to play a great game either.

Oh and Pierce is not a big. He's a SF and he played horrible in Game 2.

I'll give you last night, but he had 24 points (46% shooting) and 9 rebounds in game 1. Artest does well against him, but I do not expect him shut him down for the rest of series, especially in Boston.

Icehouse was referring to Celtics bigs in foul trouble so I asked him if he really thinks the Celtics bigs are more valuable than Kobe.

Why doesn't it matter? Its not the Lakers haven't put their best effort out there either. Would you agree Odom is arguably their 4th best player and he has played 35 total minutes this series.

Pierce had 11 points at the end of game 1 when the game was essentially over and he made his mini run.
