I don't think you're getting it. I don't really care what other people think of Kobe, it's the fact that I'm labeled as some kind of devil because I like a player they hate. I don't like players that others support but you don't see me calling them nut huggers.

Garnett and Pierce combined for 16 points, which is very low. That won't happen in this series again either, methinks.

I still think the big Mo is on the Celtics side. It must be nice knowing the next three games are on your floor.

Of course, this also makes it extremely stressful, knowing you have to win the next three games to not have it go back to LA the rest of the series.

Don't forget the eight intentional FTs at the end. The Lakers really shot twice as many FTs as the C's, which is a complete joke as usual. Not to mention that Bynum & Gasol go over the back on every rebound.

The KG/Gasol play wasn't overturned because Gasol was fouling KG. They also both had the hand on the ball (although Garnett had more of it). Who gives a fock... Kobe gets at least three or four phantom calls ever game, like the last "foul" he drew on RayRay.

No, but iirc, you either poke fun at the player that poster supports by pointing out a flaw in the player's game, or you poke fun at what school they go to (the fact that they are an Aggie, etc.).

I might have you confused with another poster, so I apologize if I am, but I think you're that guy.

that was a bad call i guess the refs ruled on the back angle that gasol's fingers were also on the ball and hence it became inconclusive so they stuck with the original call....

but there were plenty of bad calls in the first half that changed the game too..garnett doesnt get called for his second on a play thats like 60 feet away fom the ball that happens in every single game every time down the floor this game could have been different.

celtics could not get any calls underneath at all lakers had a lot of legit blocks but a lot of contact was let go for LA but not necessarily for boston.

overall the officiating so far in this series has been terrible

It should be an exciting series......

And I said it earlier, but it got lost in the wash of quick posts during the game.

Does anyone else HATE the 2-3-2 format?

With all the chartered jets they need to go back to 2-2-1-1-1

And the reason that the Celtics got the ball on the Garnet and Gasol exchange was the refs could see Pau pulling Garnet's hand down....they had to give the Celts the ball or a foul on Pau.

Evenly sucky called game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. No one will ever be happy. Team [X] fans will say their team got screwed, team [Y] fans will say their team got screwed.

Why didn't the Lakers go to Gasol more? The Cs have no answer for him.

Would be nice but flying forth and back is not the best solution for the players.

    Hate both teams....
    but....

    GO CELTICS!

I too like the normal playoff format. Much better than what they have in place for the finals.

It's not that I personally hate the 2-3-2. I just like the 2-2-1-1-1 format more. I think it is more fair to both teams.

The team with HCA would still get the first two games in the series, and they aren't up the river without a paddle if that particular team loses in GM 2; they still have GMs 5 and 7. Likewise for the visiting team, they get GMs 3 and 4, and GM 6; they aren't screwed if the series goes to GM 6.

    Screwed in terms of advantage.

I hate the 2-3-2. It gives the home court advantage team too much advantage. 3 in a row is hard to win anywhere against any team.

If I went out and made a topic on how Carlos Boozer is so completely awesome, how would Clutchfans react? It's the same thing.

    Speaking of nuthugging,

Why do commentators rave so much about Fisher??

This guy is the definition of a cheater.

He flops on every single screen. No, it is not a hyperbole. Watch him closely and you will see that anytime he bumps into a set screen he flails his arms and throws his head back like he has been shot.

He was cleanly blocked by Rondo and he threw his arms out like Rondo had taken his hands off.

The guy has made a living out of cheating. It is just sad that the refs buy his flops.

big men in today's game don't demand the ball like they did back then. pau should have smacked all the lakers players in the head for ignoring him.

we often do that to yao too.

Yeah I think you do have a mistaken poster as far as the first thing goes... the school thing is a rivalry thing... it goes back and forth. I don't think it's really labeling anyone... certainly not to this extent.

OK, so it's discrimination. That's my point.
