It's the Anti-Lakerism that I've been talking about. Nobody will admit to it though because everyone who hates LA or Kobe is so stuck up. If you're a Kobe fan, you're a nut hugger (I don't know how, but you just are). But, if you're a Kevin Durant fan, you're not.
Don't contradict yourself. Yeah, this site ain't a sanctuary for Laker fans and sympathies, there's Lakers underground for that.
Allen kept the Celts in the game, in the first half. Rondo and Davis won this game for them in the second, due to hustle and defense.
with artest locking down pierce and the lakers' length on the interior v. kg, that is highly unlikely. if the celts are to win this series, it's up to rondo, ray, and the celt's bench. and just pray pierce and kg decide to show up at home.
I didn't really like Davis before, but I don't know why. The guy hustles and that championship picture is hilarious. That 10 second 4 rebound possession in the paint was inspiring.
I used to hate Kobe. But now I could not care less. He got his side kick. now it's up to him. LA has always been of one major rivals in the West for the Rockets. Make no mistake about it, it's the Dish but the Rockets board Dish. And you know those are Rockets fans first.
Have you forgotten that this is a Rockets fan site, the Lakers and Kobe are just one of few things we don't like or give a fair shake to? The Utah Jazz The Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban Karl Malone Jerry Sloan Memhet Okur Tracy McGrady Why would a portion of our fans be rooting for a team that could be considered our 2nd to 4th biggest rival in the league, that's almost like an Eagle or Cowboy fan rooting for the Giants or Redskins to win? More times than not, that is just not going to happen.
But it isn't like if Kobe makes a shot to win the game, the board goes "**** Kobe! That was the luckiest shot in the history of lucky shots!" I'm sure most of the board will agree with me in saying that Kobe should be respected, because he is a winner, and arguably the best player in basketball right now. But you can't discount the in-game tendencies Kobe, and Gasol while we're talking about the Lakers, have. Kobe is just too arrogant sometimes (jowl / underbite thing when he makes a shot, patting Gentry on the butt, etc.), while Gasol screams like a madman every time he puts a shot up. People don't just hate other people for no reason.
Phil Jackson was clearly out-coached by Doc tonight who did everything in his power to give his team a chance to win the game. The timely substitution of Robinson off the bench was the real game-changer. When Boston needed a spark of the bench, Robinson filled that role quite well. On the contrary, the Lakers were flat down the stretch, relying too heavily on Bryant to shoulder the load. No one provided any energy off the bench when it was needed.
my fb feed is going nuts with all my friends in LA complaining that the refs screwed them. uhm officiating was terrible on both ends except the lakers got like an extra 15 or so free throws from it
