I would normally agree with you, but not the way this game has been called. Edit: Especially after just seeing that last foul Kobe got.
word, that was terrible. This is what's wrong with this game. JUmp up and yell/moan and there is a 25% more chance you will get a call.

yeah the room he has had to operate has been amazing. even the celtics haven't put up much resistance after he gets by the first guy.
Kobe's not going to be in that discussion for the greatest... but he's clearly the leader of this team and it would be well deserved for him to win Finals MVP. He's been the Lakers MVP in these playoffs. I don't think you can question that.
superstars get superstar calls. dont know why people are complaining. it happens nice and 1 play by kobe
You DO realize that Gasol is probably the most skilled big man, in terms of bball IQ, and that Bynum is a decent 5. It's not that there isn't size out there; it's that most of the big men are unskilled, and raw.
and it's not like the celtics aren't penetrating like crazy. but you have to give the lakers' big men props for blocking everything without fouling.
The hell are you guys talking about? Am I the only one seeing terrible calls both ways and just bad overall officiating?
this finals isn't to be an argument for kobe being the greatest no matter what happens. that ship sailed a long time ago. it's amazing how much legacy credit kobe is getting for having pau gasol and andrew bynum as teammates. of course, it was amazing how little credit he was getting for having smush parker and kwame brown as teammates. it's just amazing the degree to which people let a player's teammates affect their perception of that player.
No, I would agree with this. The Lakers have been the more aggressive team... they're also at home so you would expect them to get certain calls but it's been bad both ways. You will see some of the opposite in games 3, 4, and 5.
I honestly think that is bull. A guy that drives in the lane, who's not known as a star, might get a foul call 4/10 times. Kobe / James, etc. gets it 9/10.
Garnett and Rasheed aren't exactly midgets. Pretty tough to get skilled 7 footers who were lottery picks, when they pan out (which Pau and Bynum has) teams tend to hold on to them and throw big money at them (the Grizz who bent themselves over to get cap relief notwithstanding).
ANOTHER 1-on-1 for kobe with the game on the line. this is amazing. no one is even close to come to double.
