Granted, that team only won 53 games compared to the 54 wins by the "dynasty" Pistons that almost swept Kobe & the Lakers.

HOWEVER, the previous year the Pistons had the same roster as the championship squad, won 64 games, and where the pick to win it all by everybody. LeBron and the Cavs took that team to 7, which is a hell of a lot better than Kobe did with a MUCH, MUCH better roster in '04. Look at the team LeBron had then and the following year when he made the Finals? That team had no business even being in the playoffs. To deny that Kobe has had FAR more help than Lebron is either delusion or Kobe-promoting propaganda.

Bryant had 1 game where he especially focused on dishing, thus his 13 ass. effort but this is more about showboating.
See the other games. He still scores more than he dishes.

Lebron & the Cavs took a Ben-Wallace less team to the finals that started Chris Webber in its last legs patrolling the paint LOL. Come on now

Wow, someone needs to take a basic statistics class pronto!

Maybe if Kobe weren't so busy chucking up shots at 45% the whole game the Lakers wouldn't need to get bailed out in the last second. The points in the first three quarters count the same, you know. How is it possible that a guy who so many hype as one of the top players ever never comes close to shooting 50%? Chucker!

1 game? You mean when here dropped 22 and 13? What the hell is he supposed to do then? He dropped 40 the night before the Suns made an adjustment to double and triple him and he found the open man. Is that too hard to comprehend? lol

Right shooting 50% is the ultimate indicator of efficiency

Jordan = 1.316 points per field goal attempted in his career
Kobe = 1.307 points per field goat attempted in his career

Not a ridiculous gap as you make it out to be

Ben Wallace was on the 64-win '06 team that the Cavs took to 7. It was actually a much better team than the ones Kobe & 3 HOFers played in '04. The Cavs also went 7 with the '08 Celtics. Kobe, despite having far better teams when he met those same Pistons & Celtics, chucked his team out of two sure series wins. He shot around 30% in '04 and around 40% in '08. FACTS DON'T LIE!

the only reason Lebron's shooting percentage is so good is b/c the majority of his shots are in the paint, or layup/dunks.

did you see boston take the paint away? did you see the turnovers lebron had after that?

it's not hard. I've said it once and its still true, "his athleticism is far more impressive than his basketball skills" being athletic won't last forever.

Nothing. Actually he is fine. Just wanted to add something to the Kobe and BronBron comparison. Two different type of players.
Magic was also more of a PG than a shooting forward. but if you shoot 45 or 46 percent this is as good. but its not as exciting to watch for your team mates. hehe

LOL at picking stats to suit your argument. All this shows is that the weak NBA no-handcheck rules send Kobe to the line way more than he deserves for a guy who spends 90% of his time on the perimeter taking bad fadaways and verbal flopping. If you really want to compare statistics on Kobe v. Jordan, you are going to be digging yourself a pretty big hole.

Btw Steve Nash shot 52 percent from the field in the WCF series vs the Lakers, how can he still lose when he has the ball in his hands so much and shoot at such an insane percentage? He's being incredibly efficient so HOW CAN HE LOSE?!?!?!

clippy you were probably one of those guys the last 2 years that thought lebron and the cavs were champs in april.

then when they lose, well lebron's team sucks.

    lol

i mean why isn't john stockon the best point guard ever? he has the most steals and assists ever....

there is a thing called winning, winning is all that matters when comparing elite.

Kobe is playing in the "weak hand check rules era" so doesn't it make harder to play defense then on other players when you're not allowed to put hands on them and makes it harder to guard players? And still through that Kobe makes the All NBA 1st defensive team.

Kinda OT its funny how Nash put up similar stats to Stockton & had more help in his team and he won 2 MVPs and failed to make a single finals appearance while Stockton was never a Top 3 MVP candidate.

Nash played a great series. The Suns' backcourt was not the problem. The problem is, you have your head so far up Kobe's behind you can't actually see what's happening in these games.

BTW, the last two times Nash & Kobe's team met, Kobe didn't have the best front court in the NBA. You saw what happened. Or maybe you didn't, since it doesn't sound like you've been watching basketball for very long.
