I was wondering if I was the only one that felt the game was boring as all hell.

lol. i might have more kobe defending posts, especially from when the lakers were getting knocked out in the 1st round and people didn't think kobe was all that great, than the rest of the board combined.

I'm surprised Mark Jackson is audible at all given that his nose is so firmly entrenched in Kobe's arse.

The brief shot of Stern sitting in the crowd showed him to be as bored about this game as we were.

I expect this type of play to change in game 2 and beyond once he gives Crawford the marching orders.

i meant that he took both of the last 3's when anybody else could have shot it and i think he took another shot just before that. kobe was "doin' work" to get to 30.

Pau put up a pretty impressive stat line and you know that has to concern Kobe. Expect a freeze-out in the final game if the Lakers are winning.

Best moment was when it ended. With the excepting of Artest and Sheed I thought I was watching the 2008 Finals. Oh ya and KG is absolute garbage now. I hope neither of these teams are in the Finals next year. Hell I would even take the Jazz in the Finals over the Lakers and my hatred for the Jazz runs deep. The same team every year makes watching all the playoffs and finals pointless because come on you all know who is gonna win. There really is no point in watching this year.

Allen can't hang with Kobe. No Posey to help out the Celtics this time around. If you gonna put Allen, Pierce, T.Allen or Rondo on Kobe, you're gonna end up in foul trouble like we saw tonight.

Gasol and Artest played their roles very well. 3 more wins

It was definetely boring. No flow in the game because of how the refs were calling everything so tight, not to mention there were barely any fast-break baskets.

Yea the game was boring as hell, but I was happy that Artest got his first win in a final series.

The only reason I'm rooting for the Fakers in this series is because I can not stand PP and I really want RonRon to have a ring before the end of his career...

If it wasnt for Artest in LA, I'd rather watch the bellydancing competition playing on PBS lol

I just want to know when they plan on taking the Lakers fans money again (like in 2004)

If it's this year - Celtics in 7 (following the order of wins I posted earlier)

If it's next year - Lakers in 5

The money involved in gambling is worth more than the fans to the NBA. Either way they have enough advertisement revenue.

I think it's pretty damn clear that this Boston team isn't the same as 2 years ago. KG looks done. Who the heck does Boston have that actually does something off the bench? Tony Allen? Wallace?

Nate and and an old Sheed. Who did they have two years ago? An old Posey and House.

I would take Nate and Sheed on over House and Posey two years ago.

You're forgetting it's Pierce, Allen, and Garnett that are the big three. The bench doesn't close out games, it's the starters. Rondo is good, and Perkins is underrated.

Kobe bryant was killing the Celtics from mid-range. And the celtics front court player had to step out more than they are comfortable with, that gave Gasol many offense rebound. They didn't have to defend mid-range in previous 2 series, now they have to and that's a big adjustment to make.

2 years ago they had Posey, who's a long player that can keep a hand in Kobe's face. PP can freely switch to defend Artest, now he has to worry Artest working RA down low.
