I think you will have a better argument of him moving down on the all time great list than up after this game 7. He didnt play like a all time great tonight. In the biggest game of the year he came up short but his team was there to carry him.
I don't particularly like the Larry O Brien Trophy. It just seem so artificial. No, it not the worst trophy for a sports title, but I like the original Walter A. Brown trophy which is more like the Stanley Cup. Even the tradition too in that the Trophy only stays with the team for a year before moving on to the next team seems to have more substance.

Oh I understand, and I really do give them tons of credit for the way they have played in these playoffs, and for having gone through a much tougher road to get there than the Lakers, and they still almost won it in the end. Really, had the Celtics won it all tonight, there run to the finals/chamionship would have rivaled the Rockets 1995 run to the finals. It was THAT impressive

I'm big on competition and the lakers out competed the celts. They had 23 offensive rebounds and for 60m they didnt get their money's worth out of the big 3. This is a game when they needed those guys to carry them and they couldnt and didnt.
That's very true, except no one will really remember how terrible he played in game 7 a few years from now. All the Kobe fanboys care about is that he got another ring and finals MVP. It's the same thing as the game winners Kobe hit.
This is a forum, I can't agree with a opinion that the Lakers didn't deserve this championship or that the way they won it was weak or whatever. That's lame, that is the very same thing people did to those Rockets team winning in the absence of Jordan. Lakers were predicted to win the whole thing since day one, and now that they have people act like they were never supposed to. But i'm done, Haters gonna Hate. And when the Rockets win this next year there will be Jazz fans saying the same thing the haters are saying about the Lakers today I guess.
I absolutely disagree with all the complaints about the game tonight. I thought it was a great, great game and a fitting finish to the season and series.
