shelden williams, man. i'm just starting to feel bad watching him. he is just the total package when it comes to playing like crap.
I guess we'll agree to disagree. I see a clear as day difference in Mario Elie burying a wide open three and Hakeem making an incredible read and block, compared with Kobe airballing a potential game-winner SO BADLY that it lands directly in the lap of Ron Artest for a layup three feet short of the basket. To me, those are apples and oranges. I'm not saying the Lakers aren't true champions. I'm not saying they didn't earn it. Every champion certainly has some luck. I'm just acknowledging the reality that they've had an extraordinary amount of it in these past two years in the biggest moments. It's not about the Lakers. I hated the 2000-02 Lakers even more than this group, but they were dominant and deserve all the credit in the world. This group has been a lot more fortunate, to say the least.
i just decided that lakers are going to lose this series. lakers up 22 and KG makes a bucket and kobe is still whining. nothing is ever good enough for him just dont see his teammates giving enough to him to beat the celtics which just seem more of a Team then kobe/lakers.
Perkins must be in bad shape, no word by now. I was hoping to see a good game tonight, but looking like the Lakers are going to run away with it. Boring.
kobe's a fierce competitor... he wants to win badly. up 2 or up 22, he still plays his heart out. i don't get why you have a problem with that?
The Lakers are penetrating to the basket and grabbing offensive rebounds with relative ease. Shelden Williams, who might be among the worst players to ever wear an NBA uniform, is playing meaningful minutes in an NBA Finals game and already blew a wide open dunk. Perkins' absence is definitely a factor. It's not the only factor, of course, but let's not downplay it.
i compare it to being a good manager or professor. constructive criticism is not kobe's forte he just seems to whine and b****. thats why there have been reports all through the years of guys not really liking him as a person. those comments have not been around the last few years because they are winning again. who has shaq ever had a problem playing with i dont really remember hearing anything except with him and kobe. not saying he is Great and that you cant win with him obviously, but i think what i described above is one area that hurts him... one of the few.
right b/c Lebrons' elbow hurts him, but he can still make the sports center blocks off the backboard. there are things called skills, which Kobe has.
Oh, you'd be surprised what other sports fans say. You know what I heard from my Phoenix buddies in 1995? "Of all the players to shoot in that situation, they give it to the least likely option and he hits a three with 7 seconds? Unf**kin believable." They also said we were lucky to even get to Game 6. Do you remember what happened at the end of regulation in game 5? If you do, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I've got half my relatives in NY, and they called Starks horrible performance in Game 7 "freak luck"- they said that it was pure freak luck that he had that bad a game in that critical of a moment. But, really, the most important thing is: screw every team except the Rockets. I really could care less who wins what as long as the team in red is out. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKETS!!!
