Celts could have won this game.

    Sigh.

I think the cavs will win this series. The celtics' defense can't stop the cavs.

Haha, LeBron got kinda frazzled there?

"Paul is a good player. Probably a great player -- in our league."

"I understand you're getting some kind of award?"
    "Thanks, Dave!"

And, celtics' offense is not strong enough to overscore the cavs.

Cavs turned up the D in the 2nd half... but I see some weaknesses in the Cavs offense... weaknesses that may cost them a series against Orlando if Orlando and Cleveland do meet up in the ECF.

Great win for the Cavs though... 8-0 series wins if they win game 1 which is a great stat.

not only does lebron play with a high bball iq, but he just sounds smart in interviews whenever talking about what's going on out on the court. like he's well studied. i know he was commentating for the rookie/sophomore game a few years ago and was spouting off stats and the other guys asked how he was doing it with no notes in front of him and he just said he watches lots of games and takes notes.

also, 35/7/7 when you are practically refusing to shoot from outside and are trying to drive one direction most of the game is pretty good.

    Most Valuable Intellectual? ;)

And that stat line is why he is the MVP.

They blew a golden chance by crumbling when the game was on the line. PP has to make clutch shots or the Celts won't win close games. Jamison was a zero. Anthony Parker, Moon and Big Z weren't factors on offense. They waste and all-world effort from Rondo. It was tailor-made for Boston to win and they couldn't do it.

The Celts may not live this loss down. Rondo probably won't have another game like this in the playoffs.

I still think its fake. He grimaces but nothing about the game has changed, in terms of mechanics or the way he plays.

pierce let his team down tonight. rondo, like you said, had an all-world performance. kg was more aggressive than usual.

but i think any game with lebron, i just think the cavs have a better chance of winning, whether they are down 20 or not. lebron is just that good.

and lebron's stat line in the playoffs continues to be amazing. this is just some ridiculous stuff he's putting up the past 2-3 playoff runs.

It could be fake, or it could not.

Fake = He's going to pull a miraculous recovery around game 3. He will say the first two games were just to see if he could play lefty.

Actually injured = recovers around the end of this series, whenever that is.

Why are you bothered about the way he plays? I didn't like the crab dribble and traveling that he did previously, but he has gotten better with the driving/shooting. His passing is really great, and he is a terrific teammate. Defensively,he has gotten better too.

Pretty sure he means that James' play would have been less efficient had the elbow really been injured.

Obviously, one would perform better at 100% than at 80%.

Got it. It's possible that he recovered from a relatively minor injury. I don't think he would have shot the ball left handed and missed it unnecessarily. He did undergo some tests before the game. I doubt if he was malingering.

    Rondo was absolutely scary.

Thank goodness Mo had that dunk and got him going. WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFFS. Only a year too late. Hopefully he keeps that mojo going. Great stuff off the bench by Delonte and Hickson. The depth is much better this year than last and it's been showing in Chicago and tonight.

I'd like to see the Cavs turn on that swarming defense earlier. I'd rather see the Celts try to chase the Cavs instead of the other way around. Luckily PP was pedestrian.

The Celtics are toast. I don't care if it was only one game. Cleveland looked shaky and lethargic through three quarters and the C's still couldn't finish them off. It's a shame they had to waste an all-world effort from Rondo on top of that.

P.S. Nice to see Garnett show up in the 4th quarter for the 94,504th time in his career!
