Agree with this, Rondo is what Lowry should become or can become. As far as Brooks vs Rondo, there is NO competition because both play the PG poisition and the comparison stops there. Rondo does everything better, to much better, except shoot and thats ok because we don't need Brooks to be Rondo if the right pieces are placed around him. Saying that, Brooks could never of dream of putting up similar numbers to what Rondo did today along with playing that kind of "D".

I think Rondo could be the second best player on a team and that team be a contender but he will need a dynamite first option. The big three are just passed their prime yet last year in the playoffs I think he was the second best player and they got to game 7 round 2.

What would be the significance of this series loss to Lebron's legacy? I know he's just entering his prime but does this tarnish his accomplishments to some extent, racking up MVPs and still can't win the big one? If he doesn't win the series, he might join Nash as the only MVPs to never win a ring.

oops i meant multiple time MVP sorry

Dirk, Barkley, Malone have won MVPs in regular season as well and have never won a ring. Like Dirk as you mentioned these 3 are one time winners

Are you out of your ****ing mind?

Should become or could become. You know what, chase buddinger can become larry bird while we're at it. You're basically saying that the gap between lowry and rondo is smaller than between Brooks and Rondo.

Rondo is much better than brooks, and lowry shouldn't even be compared to him. He is not starter material and never will be. Been in the league for four years now. I think its time you people give it a rest.

Rondo is just an amazing rebounder and passer. We're going to be comparing Rondo to in his prime Jason Kidd soon, the difference being that Rondo quicker while Kidd has the size advantage. Of course Kidd has more savvy and confidence than Rondo as well.

Cavs will close this series out by winning the next 2 games.

Glad people are realizing that Rondo is better than AB. Also you can compare the two, here is how "Who would you rather take?" there.

Brooks is the better scorer, but as i've said during the season. Rondo just gives you more. He gives you 1st team defense, he gives you rebounding, and he gives you a pure point guard...Umm this sounds like the skillset of a perennial all-star and Rondo can be that IMO.

You can compare people who play the same position even if they have the same position. That's why the comparisons are made to see which player is the better player overall or the better fit for X team.

If two players have exactly the same skillset then there would be no point in discussing or comparing the two, its easy to see which is better if they do exactly the same thing:

    Dirk>Bargnani
    Bosh>LMA
    DH>Kwame Brown
    Paul Pierce>JJ
    Wade>Tyreke Evans etc.

    Rondo's past 2 regular season: 12.8 /4.8 /9.0

    Rondo's past 2 playoffs: 17.3 /8.7 /10.4

I understand the scoring increase, teams think he can't score. But the increase in assists and rebounds?

It'll be interesting to see if Mike Brown decides to stick LBJ on him and if Paul Pierce can finally score without Lebron guarding him.

I am not comparing current Lowry to current Rondo, obviously nowhere near the same area code but why can't Lowry become a Rondo type player? He has a ways to go but if Lowry works his a$$ off and develops a mid range game why can't, one day, Lowry be mentioned as a Rajon Rondo type player?

He compared "Lowry compared to Rondo" vs "Budinger compared to Bird."

It's best to just ignore the guy; he doesn't know what he's ranting about.

if this series goes to 7 games, which i think it will, the magic will have some series advantage. Especially considering the age of the celtics and Shaq, it will be even harder keeping up with howard. The rest that they are getting is going to be pivatol.
