    Has there ever been a "Wired" clip of a coach in a huddle that didn't make it seem like anyone could be an NBA head coach?

    So true. Granted, they don't show everything in the coach says, but those Wired clips are probably a good indication that timeouts are full of trite statements that probably don't even motivate the players.

    Is it so off-limits that they show any X and O's tidbits from the coaches? It would be much more interesting at least.

    No effing way the coaches would let their plays be revealed. From what I understand, the Wired section covers less than 10% of timeouts - you can easily distort things with that little being revealed.

    The real coaching is done in practice and player management during the games.. timeouts are just to stop momentum.

    Coaches would have a fit if plays were broadcasted before the play took place.

    If you broadcast after the play...boring TV.
