WOW! nelson is the worst playmaker pg I have ever seen. The whole orlando team doesnt know how to attack the basket and just want to settle for 3 point shots or jumpers.

And thats why I said (3months ago) SVG will never win a championship.

Look - I understand Howard is not a versatile big when it comes to offense, but he put up 7 points on 30% shooting tonight along with 7 rebounds 3 blocks and 1 steal. He has been absolute trash this series.

We're talking about a guy who put up 20p/15r/2a/3b/1s in last year's playoffs and similar numbers the year before that.

There is no excuse for being a nonfactor to this extent.

On this, I totally agree with you. I don't understand why they didn't pick up another PG like that on the cheap (or hell, Rafer himself). Hedo was the more valuable peice, anyway. I guess they figured Jameer would never run into a good defense...

Anyway, like I was saying, watching this all makes me that much more grateful that we have your namesake (and KLow) on our squad. :)

Shard also. WTF happened to him? He's averaging like 3 mil per point scored this series.

Have you seen Hedo play this year? The Magic are lucky they shipped him out.

So, are the postgame conferences going to be on SC, or where can we find them?

Yea, enough with the Rafer talk.

As far as our PGs, I look at the Celtics and see a similar combination of players, except that they have Lowry starting and Brooks coming off the bench.

I'm not saying that Lowry is as good as Rondo but he is more similar to Rondo while Brooks is more similar to little Nate.

I like Brooks and think he has the ceiling of being a great scoring guard off the bench, maybe a Jason Terry lite, but I didn't see enough improvement in his overall game last season to believe he is starting material.

I'd love to keep them both, with Lowry starting and Brooks getting 15-25 mpg, depending on matchups and how Lowry is playing on a given night.

In realtiy, I think Brooks is gone and Lowry is starting next season unless we pull off some surprise move and bring in a better PG than both.

Lowry deserves his chance to start. I think he could really blow up if given the opportunity.

Just depends on if you think that different circumstances make for different players. In Toronto's offense, he sucks. On Orlando, he's automatically the best passer, post entry man, and PnR trigger on the whole squad. He'd still be better than the players they placed in his spot and paid in his absence (Barnes/Bass/Gortat).

It's kinda like how Shane Battier can at times be invaluable for us, whereas some teams may find him completely useless.

Man, I missed this game because of a prior engagement. Looks like I didn't miss much of anything. The conference finals are turning out to be an absolute bore.

dwight has been the anchor for their offense all season but when he struggles it seems like SVG does not have a plan b.

seems like he does not have an offensive strategy that is not depended on running through howard.

LOL, I just love how D'antoni brags about how the style of play with Phoenix and Orlando are based on his concept of high tempo play... Now look at them... GOING NOWHERE... Thanks for coming out D'antoni... See you next season...
