2010 NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Magic (#2) Vs. Celtics (#4)

Who would have thought back in 2002ish that Vince Carter would end up looking foolish compared to Paul Pierce?

 

KG = Best defender in the NBA. Celtics should win the championship yet again.

 

they just mentioned it and it kills me the way howard is always falling away on hook shots. he brings his feet together and leans his upper body away from the basket. who taught this guy to shoot hook shots? you turn, bump into the defender's chest to knock him off balance, and then gather and go straight up. he mess almost every part of it up. what else does he have to practice besides this and ft's?

 

The Magic have made him soft.

He used to be a post up player in Seattle, now all he does is jack up three pointers.

He has no post game. He will never be skilled offensively. I don't think there's any hating going on with that. It's a legitimate assumption that he will never be a great player offensively.

Big Baby drawing a second charge where he sets after the offensive player has jumped. Shouldn't that be a block? He drew the first one in the same way earlier against Nelson.

 

but he still gets points and contributes a great deal on the defensive end.

he's a defensive player first and when he gets his 25+ that's just icing on the cake.

a foul to bail out paul pierce on a weak offensive play in the playoffs? i'm shocked because that's only the 43256th time that's happened in the playoffs since 2008. time for another "charge" to wrap this up.

pierce gets more ****ing calls than kobe, lebron, and wade combined in the final minute of a playoff game and they're hardly ever going to the basket.

 

I always felt that Pierce was a better player than Vince. Carter isn't bad, but he was always going to struggle once his athleticism went down.

 

Ok and...

My point is, nobody is hating because it's legit to say he's a terrible offensive player.
