More like 10 times out of 10. Team World had a chance maybe 2-3 years ago, but they would get dominated if such a match up happened today.
Is it wrong that he wanted to win the award? He's got an unquenchable thirst for winning and a huge competitive drive. Sure he's no Tim Duncan but I can't hate on the guy. That type of drive is going to win him multiple championships. The weird part? For a guy that wants to win basically everything I don't know why he didn't compete in the Dunk Contest. If you got it use it. He deprived himself and the fans.
Nash = Paul Gino < Kobe Dirk < Lebron (But finesse vs PWR) Gasol = Bosh? (I think Gasol could handle Bosh) Yao > Dwight Kobe and LeBron would have a fun time. And so would Yao.
That would be an interesting game. But I would build the US team differently: PG Paul SG Kobe SF Durant PF Lebron C Dwight Go small with Lebron at the 4, play zone and have Howard rebound.
I disagree. The only thing Nash is clearly better at is shooting and Paul is a super efficient shooter himself. Nash is a better FT shooter but he doesn't get to the line nearly as often and Paul, once again, is also a very good FT shooter. Paul is as good of a playmaker and possibly better considering he doesn't play in an uptempo system and therefore, doesn't get as many assist opportunities (assuming you want to use assists as the measure of a good playmaker). Paul also protects the ball better but you could make the argument that Nash's high TO rate is largely a function of the system he plays in. Still, considering how often Paul handles the ball, it's amazing how rarely he turns it over. Out of the top 20 PGs in terms of PER, nobody has a lower percentage of possessions end in a turnover than Paul: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holl...istics?sort=per&qual=true&pos=pg&seasonType=2 Paul is a far better rebounder and defender. He's stronger and younger. As mentioned above, he gets to the line more. He leads all PGs in PER this season and I imagine he led them all last season, as well. Nash is an amazing shooter and playmaker but Paul is also an amazing playmaker and a very good shooter who does just about everything else better than Nash. Paul > Nash
It was a good game, better than dunk contest. Next Superbowl halftime show should be Shakira WOW! Comparing Shakira vs. the Who, no doubt Shakira gets more attention. Get it done Goddell!
i dont get that either...you'd think he'd want to win at least one so he can say he's been there, done that, like kobe and MJ. Maybe he really wants to be more like Magic as he has said before, so perhaps he thinks winning it may portray him as more of a dunker/scorer.
exactly. after watching him last year, it seems that he wants to win EVERYTHING and it doesn't really matter what it is. dude is just thirsty and is extremely competitive. and this is why he's clearly the best player in the game today.
Does any one have the video of the D Wade streetballish off the glass oop to himself? something that happened way early in the game, I know it was before Dwight made the 3 pointer, so the first few minutes or so..
I have no problem with competitiveness. I embrace it. But he is a brat, childish even in his inability to compete and graciously accept defeat. Especially considering Dwade is supposedly a friend of his, its sickening. Hold ya head up, tuck ya chin in and clap for the man that won and didnt take 22 shots for 25pts.
I may have sat in the nosebleed section, but I still had fun. And check out this guy who was sitting in front of me...
